Perhaps Lutheranism, should have been a tool and not a sect.

A Christian policy in all Judeo Christian religions where rogue Clerics and Papacy are called out by an observant congregation.
The Congregation votes to admonish those parties.

I would hate to see the Catholic Church split up and form some new crackpot religion.
If anything, perhaps Rome and the Papacy should be retired from the Catholic Church, and Regional Bishops and Cardinals are as far as the church reaches.
It would make it less of Global policy power player. But then again, it's time we cut away Israel, and all of the Mullahs as well. While we're at it tell NATO and the UN to go pound sand.

Besides Jesus is the real Boss, and Pope Fancypants will have some esplainin to do, when his card gets pulled.

The Catholic Church made a huge error in trying to "modernize".

Mass should still be in Latin and no other language.

Dogma should be completely immutable.

It's more than the Catholics.

The Methodist church is undergoing a huge schism right now as well. It's the same thing - the Unified national authority is all wokey wokey and you have a significant number of churches that aren't going along with that. It's resulting in big time lawsuits - mostly concerning who owns the real estate that these tens of thousands of churches are sitting on.

We recently moved and went to the nearest Lutheran church in our new town - only to be reminded to check our white privilege and try to do more for the poor LGBQT+ crowd. Well, we are now Baptists. At least until they start down that path too. Eventually we are going to have to find the home schooling version of religion.

Is it too much to ask for a judgmental god?!?

Many of the Orthodox churches use Church Slavonic instead of the local language.

I would like traditions to be preserved, but the essence is more important. Is it not possible to convey beauty and other ideas in languages other than Latin?

You really cannot go to wrong with churches born out of the Jesus movement in the 70’s. Most consider the Bible the inerrant word of God and are as scripturally conservative as it gets.

Even the Southern Baptists are having a struggle; check out Beth Apostate Moore. She claimed a vision told her Gays are Okay now. Then she went back and edited new printings of her books removing "Pray for gays, it's a sin" type references. Southern Bapists have mostly kept the women out, but they leave it to individual Churches.

There's got to be a balance between Independentism and Presbyterianism where there's a list of things that are flat out heresy based on clear Biblical bans, where an overseeing board can simply whisk the pastor away.

The most based Church I've found so far is Grace to You with John MacArthur.

He also refused to shut down during COVID and CA went after him for the parking lot of the Church, but he sued and won.

Leftists are militantly opposed to conversion therapy ----

except for gender dyphoria. Then hormones, trans surgery, and lots of counseling to validate the dysphoria as a real thing is necessary. Parents who refuse the trans conversion therapy can have their kids taken away by a Judge and CPS.

While some people are born homosexuals, many - maybe most - are made that way by child abuse. And I survived 12-14 without heterosexual intercourse and didn't explode into 1000 pieces from not fucking. So can gays.
