Attention Ukey Nazi Fluffers! We have a blue light special on Aisle The Fucking Truth Hurts!

And the truth is: You don't take Western artillery pieces to a...um, an actual artillery fight, apparenrly. High tech don't mean shit if it has a premature ejaculation problem.

In the artillery-heavy intensive warfare conditions of the east Ukrainian battlefield, hi-tech Western artillery pieces are being called on to fire hundreds of shells each a day and are simply not up to the conditions or the task, not tough enough, breaking down quickly due to wear and tear.

The commander of the logistics service of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Volodymyr Karpenko, complains that these Western weapons “constantly break down and require repair.”

The US-made M777 Howitzers which have become the mainstay of the Kiev regime’s military forces are quickly “blooming” under intense firing rates, which is to say the front of the artillery barrel explodes and fray’s back, looking much like a precious flower.

The M777s are largely made of titanium instead of steel, theoretically making them lighter and quickly mobile for shoot & scoot after firing, but aren’t proving durable as a result.

According to Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Denis Sharapov one out of every 3 M777s have to be taken away for repair after the very first artillery duel.
US defense officials admit as much, reporting that a third of the roughly 350 Western-made howitzers are out of action at any given time.

Likewise; 1 out of 3 of the 22 vaunted German Panzerhaubitze 2000’s provided to the Kiev regime are also reported by German military officials as in need of repair after just a month of battlefield use. Seems they can’t take firing more than a hundred shells a day.

Similar problems are being reported with the US’s M109 artillery pieces, the Italian FH70, and the French
Broken and failing Western weapons need to be transported all the way across Ukraine to Western repair centers set up in Poland, Slovakia, and Germany – repaired if possible – and then make the return journey back to the front, under Russian fire, taking many months.

Jack Watling of the Royal Institute of Armaments in London notes that “The current approach, where each country transfers batteries in parts, is quickly becoming a logistical nightmare for Ukrainian forces, as each battery requires a separate training, support and logistics system“.

These hi-tech Western wonder weapons are just too fragile and precious, too logistically demanding, to hang in the high-intensity conflict in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, here is an update on "Eastern Wonder Weapons".

This war is turning out to be another scheme for the global reset. The dollar is already destroyed, the only thing keeping it afloat is the USA's supposed military supremacy. All of a sudden the media is showing that western weapons don't work? 🤔

The above is another fabrication from the lying liars of the MSM because the hypersonic Kinzhals at Mach 10 are too fast to be hit. So, the exact opposite is true, meaning, the patriot missiles are useless!

This battery fired 30 patriot missiles in two minutes in an attempt to defend itself but got wiped out instead: See https://twitter.com/WarMonitors/status/1658281863327129601?ref_src=patrick.net

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense a "U.S.-manufactured Patriot surface-to-air missile system has been struck by Kinnzhal hypersonic glide. vehicle in Kiev. https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/05/ukraine-air-defense-lessons-.html#more "

The Daily Mail?

From what I've heard, which I also take with a grain of salt, is that a group of Patriot Missiles were destroyed. Something like 1/2 dozen Patriots were shot off in the video I saw, and then the location they were firing from when boom.

But who can tell today? The "proof" of the Ghost of Kiev was from a fucking video game.

I remember the tests of anti-ballistic missiles, if you tune it JUST RIGHT, you can make it seem like it works. The so-called "Iron Dome" is a total joke too in Israel. They can't even shoot down rockets made in a goddamned basement, and I'm expected to believe that the US has figured out how to intercept and destroy a missile that is flying at something like 1 mile a SECOND?

If it was so damned easy to do, there would be no fighter jets, they'd all be shot down in a seconds.

If this were a war with US forces fighting, we have plenty of artillery pieces. It's when you give another country a dozen or whatever small number of artillery pieces and then a fuck ton of ammo that they get worn out.

I don't consider Streiff at Redstate as part of the MSM. He has been VERY accurate in his reporting in Ukraine over the course of the war including be very skeptical of Ukrainian claims.

Streiff's reporting is claiming that the Patriots shot down every one of Putin's so called "Mach 10" missiles this past week.

Actually, that is nothing new. In the 6 Day War Israel sent 40 aircraft over into Syria, only 10 returned. 30 aircraft were shot down in minutes by the Soviet SA-6.

If this is true, that the patriot missiles are shooting down the the hypersonic Kinzhals at Mach 10, then how come Russia is gaining and bombing Kiev right now? No answer!

You know what I'd do if I was Russia?

I'd find some ancient missiles from WWII, like SCUD missiles, and just exhaust the supply of Patriot Missles. The Palestinians do this. The Palestinians make their missiles in a basement.

US defense officials are now confirming that US Patriots were hit by Russia...

"US Officials Confirm Russian Strike On Patriot System In Ukraine... CNN's reporting seems to confirm the narrative from the Russian Defense Ministry, which said on Tuesday... "a high-precision strike by the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system in the city of Kyiv hit a US-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system." https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-officials-confirm-russian-strike-patriot-system-ukraine-cnn

Your point may be valid, but you need to be accurate in details lest the reader assume you do not know what you are talking about. The only WWII such missile was the German V2. The SCUD did not come about until the late 1950s.

Whatever. Any stupid thing can trigger the Patriots. Israel does this to Syria, they just shoot missiles into Syria to cost them money. Israel is a bunch of assholes, because they know if Syria went on the offensive, the US would go in.

Russia's Kinzhals are frustrating Chinese analysts who want to find out how Beijing's hypersonic missiles might stack up against US battlefield defenses

Matthew Loh
Jan 16, 2024, 9:25 PM PST

....

Chinese defense magazines have, in the past year, been reporting on the Russian Kinzhal with great interest, analyzing its performance against US-provided Patriot systems and in the war in general.

And for a good reason: The Kinzhal's appearance in Ukraine is Beijing's first opportunity to observe how such sophisticated weapons fare in battle against Western equipment.

China hopes its own hypersonic missile, the Dongfeng, will be game-changing in its capacity to take down US aircraft carriers.

But the Kinzhal, touted by the Kremlin as an "unstoppable" hypersonic weapon, is being reported by the West to have been thwarted by Patriot systems or to have simply missed its targets.

"There is more and more evidence showing that what the US and Ukraine say on this matter is true," the Chinese defense analyst Yin Jie wrote in November in the Shaanxi military magazine Ordnance Industry Science and Technology.

While such journals don't necessarily reflect views or intel from within the People's Liberation Army, state agencies must approve their publishers.

Despite this, Yin issued a surprisingly critical review of how Russia uses the Kinzhal, otherwise known as the "Dagger," writing that the missile was "unlikely to have a significant impact" on the battlefield.

That directly contradicts how Russia, a close ally of China, has portrayed the weapon as a pivotal munition for victory.

A 'short-term, hasty project'

The Chinese analyst spelled out various ways Russia had undermined its own missile, such as how the Kinzhal had been fired and its availability. The Kinzhal, they concluded, just wasn't the star that Moscow made it out to be.

Yin described the Kinzhal as an evolution of Russia's ground-launched Iskander missile that was rapidly completed in a "short-term, hasty project..."

"This missile, which was developed based on the technical framework of the 1980s, may not have any amazing battlefield performance," the analyst added.

The Kinzhal's maneuverability, they wrote, "cannot be compared with that of a real hypersonic missile," adding that its ballistic trajectory also made the Kinzhal susceptible to defense systems such as the Patriot.

A similar view can be found in "Showdown between the Dagger and the Patriot in Ukraine," an analysis published by the prominent Beijing defense and science journal Military Arms.

The Kinzhal, this separate analysis said, was at best a "marginal hypersonic missile."

"Although Russia calls the 'Dagger' a hypersonic missile, analysts from other countries generally believe that the so-called hypersonic 'Dagger' missile is actually an air-launched version of the 'Iskander' short-range tactical ballistic missile," it said.

....

"The 'Dagger' missile has more than enough ambition but not enough power," the July analysis said.

'The accuracy is unsatisfactory'

In his November analysis, Yin blamed more than just a lack of sophistication in the Kinzhal, pointing to circumstances in the Russian military apparatus as a whole.

Yin noted that Russia had stopped launching Kinzhals from its Mig-31s, choosing to instead use Su-34 jets firing safely from outside the range of Ukraine's defenses.

But the analyst wrote that the Su-34 was proving too sluggish to fire the Kinzhal at an optimal speed. Already slower than the Mig-31, the Su-34 was further weighed down by the heavy Kinzhal, Yin assessed.

For the Kinzhal to be most efficient, the launch aircraft has to move at high speeds and altitudes to give the missile a proper range boost.

"Therefore, after the aircraft is equipped with the KH-47M2 'Dagger,' excessive and unrealistic expectations cannot be placed on its initial capabilities," the author wrote.

They also criticized Russia's satellite system for guiding the missiles, saying it didn't have enough satellites for precision.

"The accuracy is unsatisfactory," the analyst wrote.

Yin then raised the issue of Russia simply not having enough Kinzhals, saying Western sanctions had hobbled Moscow's capacity to quickly manufacture the weapons, which limited how the missiles could be used.

"The 'Dagger' was not produced and equipped in large quantities. After a year and a half of expenditure, there may be very few left in the inventory," they added. "It can only be used to attack strategic locations."

"I think clearly a lesson for China here is that they need massive inventories of weapons," Lyle Goldstein, the director of Asia engagement at the Washington, DC, think tank Defense Priorities, told Business Insider. "More than what they consider the military requirement."

Fun to read couple of days after the only AWACS kill in the history of the world. Alllegedly by Patriot SAM. I don't think he meant "death trap" in this sense though.
