The Enterprise does not tolerate Tech support 12 hours or more away. When they are having mission critical meetings, they can't afford to have their A team home sleeping, and have a clueless flunkies answering the call. I've seen 3 companies try like hell to do it, only to build back an even bigger IT internally after about a year. It just doesn't work.
It's great for retail customers wondering why their HP or Dell Laptop notebook wont charge.

Now for second point the tech Support working from India work during their night. They are not 12 hrs away.

Actually that's a generous number. The company I just left brought in PWC, PricewaterhouseCoopers. A nice Abraham sounding name, to take over the Cloud development for the new direction they were going. The first meeting when they met with me(the sole developer for the company that wrote all of the legacy apps they were converting). They were all Indians every last one of them. 13 of them to be exact.

Thankfully those 13 Indians aren't as smart as the PWC Executives led the Owners of the company I was working for, was led to believe.

As I've billed them about 275 hours Since May. Rather than stepping through code and figuring out what I'm doing, they are trying to take my projects, remove all of the shit that made it work. Then when they get stuck they call me. I have to tell them, all of the code they took out of those modules was needed. They then put it back in the code, essentially having a duplicate copy of the code I originally made. They didn't update shit, they didn't weave it into those impossibly restrictive Cloud one ERP fits all Enterprises. They created a new site, with limited functionality of what I already done. Not an Indian out of the 13 PWC idiots could take what I did, improve on it, and make the cloud based ERP reproduce what I created in .Net MVC, WCF, GDI+ and postscript.

Oh and for the record, the IT company they brought in to handle their Network is an Indian owned company. SO yes, if you have log in issues with the VPN you will speak to an Indian out of Dallas.

When I went to Malaysia I was really surprised to see that America is about 2 to 5 years behind the Asian tech basin.

ok, If someone points out a deficiency you can take it as constructive criticism or as bitching. I dont have any malice so I think I am not bitching. Every country has its own value systems. It is just that American value system affects whole of the planet right now.
As far as me moving back it is an option I have to keep open because there is lot of hindu hatred here in US. In next 10-15 yrs you will see the hatred against hindus in Univ first and next in jobs. Either we have to hide our identity or convert. This hatred is from islamo - communists in the univ. I don't closely follow this thread. In my observation certain communities in India never work or barely work. Poverty never bothers them. No amount of money motives. Understood, I would feel quite comfortable having this conversation with you over a beer, and neither would take what the other said any other way than just banter between friends.
I was in a band with a guy onetime, we were like best friends, and agreed on everything. When we started coordinating and scheduling via email, it went to hell quick. For some reason, he took everything as a flame, a shootdown, a complaint or a gripe. Where before we would just brainstorm and bounce ideas off each other if we were face to face.

I blame email and the lack of face to face communication over the demise of that friendship and music collaboration.
