All that was necessary to say was "we have a new virus which may lead to a bad cold/flu season, so while we're working on figuring out treatments and vaccines we recommend you wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, wear a n95/100 mask WITH VALVE when in close contact indoors or avoid mingling with other people indoors altogether as much a possible if you don't want to take any risk."
