The best case scenario as far as the US national security and sovereignty, the Democrats have contradictory views of the Chicoms. They are not as much as ideologically against the Chicoms like the Republicans are.

So I have been using the word ambivalent in that context probably since I learned the word but recently found out that it's wrong. I think you mean, "Democrats don't care either way", but's not what that means. That means, "Democrats care both ways in a conflicting way"...
