This is a good sign, albeit a small one.

We've all seen the left attack itself in recent times, including via cancel culture. I've been hoping such backfires would result in the self toppling of this movement.

Willow Smith, Jada Pinket, and Tamika Mallory (a popular civil rights activist) were talking and Willow took an opposition to cancel culture, citing its danger as a tool. Tamika seemed to agree somewhat, although she attempted to temper opposition to it, instead opining that it just needs to be "used carefully". I felt like Tamika hopes it wont get too loony, so it can stay and continue to be a tool that's utilized. Willow (and her mom) on the other hand, comes from a big Hollywood family, and so I'm sure she fears getting cancelled and her livelihood being stripped away from her in a hot twitter second. They all chuckled, saying how they each had been canceled, some of them multiple times, and wore it as a badge of honor, but I smell fear in their chuckle. They know its not possible to predict what statement will be "offensive" to the NPC rage mob, and so they live in deep fear because their lives are based on making many public statements.

I see this as: these influential elites are getting scared about cancel culture, and are trying to reprogram their NPCs to use different, more complicated "cancel logic". I'm hopeful it wont work, because the mob mentality I often see tends to be pretty dumb.
