He's really in excellent form, on top of things, clear on the facts, looking out for the US.

He sure won't put up with any bullshit from the fake media anymore, having been treated so unfairly for more than 3 years now. He immediately sees where the question is going and what spin or lie they are plotting to print, and tells them out loud what they are trying to do so that everyone can see how untrustworthy the media is. Wonderful!

Going to start watching Trump's press conferences every day.

Nah, disagree. Your example is a loaded question and the one Trump was asked wasn't.

You’ve got to be kidding. Let me ask you: How many kids should die so we can slow down global warming?
Answer that if you have the balls.

Tell me, how do those personal insults Trump throws at the media help the country? It's really not productive at all.

Wrong. It actually helps the reporter who gets insulted, as they gain a journo “Street cred” for getting into it with the ORANGEMANBAD. It is a ticket to better paychecks from the oligarch-owned fake news media.

As for the country? Well, none of these pressers help the country that much. Trump is trying to be transparent and responsive and all he’s getting is a “fuck you” from the hostile press who are supposed to be taking notes and asking pertinent questions. Not “how many puppies is it acceptable to let China kill?” Or “how many people’s grandparents are you comfortable with killing to keep the economy from shutting down and stranding us all in a Dark Age?”
Stuff like that is ridiculous and only an idiot would answer it straight.
And only an idiot by the bay would think that refusing to answer such questions straight is “hiding things from the public.”

Right. Thats why major cities were completely shut down in Mid March.

NYC spent February fighting to keep Global Entry for NY D/L holders, though NY D/Ls were given with minimal to no verification of citizenship status or general identity.

NYC also spent February fighting to entice tourists to Chinatown, as did San Freako.

The New York Times even roasted DeBlasio on this. Notice he's been elbowed out of the way by Cuomo these past few weeks.

NYC Commish Levine famously tweeted himself enjoying Chinatown in February, urging everybody to come down with him. He also famously got Coronavirus.

Here was his response to RU Hillel when they warned students to avoid Yeshiva students, where there had just been a case of WuFlu, March 5th:

Rutgers Hillel advising the community to be "mindful" when inviting Yeshiva Univ students to gatherings this weekend, with hope that people "make the right decision".

This is a TOTALLY unjustified measure, not supported by health experts. It's the kind of shunning we must avoid. pic.twitter.com/w5zQRRqRhp— Mark D. Levine (@MarkLevineNYC) March 5, 2020

No, dealing with the media is part of the job. Trump is no good at dealing with the media. His problem is that he cares too much what they say. Why didn't either Bush have this problem of "fake news"?

The media hates him precisely because he is so successful in using, baiting, and bypassing them.

They want their gatekeeper and filtration role back, but Trump - thanks to the internet - is taking it away from them faster than it was already happening.

Hearing the take of yet another 32-year old English/Comm/"Science Education" major Urbanite who was born and raised in an affluent suburb, amped on intersectionality, who frequents Cereal Bars and orders Sushi every night, adds no value. In fact, their mixture of class bias, fringe political attitudes, and self-righteousness I would pay to avoid.

Now I am not comparing the two pandemics because the viruses are/were different, but hardly anyone in the general public remembers or barely remembers the N1H1 "pandemic" and that is a good thing because it means they wern't much bothered by it. So you'll get little traction politically with that. Ya think that will be the case with Covid-19?

You don't remember it because Obama was the Media's darling. Had it been Trump or even Bush, the media would be representing it as the "New Katrina".

In fact, what really made Katrina bad was the actions of the NOLA mayor, not the President.

So ... @marcus Will you admit that's your other account now?

no, I don't know what you're talking about, although funny kind of projection, coming from an account that was created a couple days ago, probably by someone I am ignoring.

Humanity.

Another good one:

CBS NEWS REPORTER WEIJIA JIANG: Since you shared with us something else that you saw on TV today, I have a question about something you said Thursday, which was that you were angry because information about the virus should have been told to us earlier and a lot sooner. People knew what was happening and people did not want to talk about it. Many Americans are saying the exact same thing about you, that you should have warned them that the virus was spreading like wildfire through the month of February instead of holding rallies with thousands of people. Why did you wait so long to warn them? And why did you not have social distancing until March 16.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Who are you with?

JIANG: I’m Weijia Jiang with CBS News.

TRUMP: So, if you look at what I did in terms of cutting off or banning China from coming in.

JIANG: Chinese nationals, but by the way, not Americans who were also coming from China.

TRUMP: Nice and easy, just relax. We cut it off. People were amazed. These gentlemen. Everybody was amazed what I did. We had 21 people in a room. Everybody was against it but me. Dr. Fauci said [that] had I not done that, perhaps tens of thousands, and maybe much more than that, people would have died. I was very early, very, very early. And we just saw — you saw Bret Baier making a statement. They had a debate well into February and it wasn’t even mentioned, the Democrats. We were very early –

JIANG: You didn’t warn people that it was spreading so quickly! And by the way, when you issued the ban, the virus was already here.

TRUMP: Okay, and you know how many people, when I issued the ban? How many cases of virus were in the United States when I issued the ban? Do you know the number? How many cases were here when I issued the ban?

JIANG: But did you know it was going to spread and become a pandemic?

TRUMP: No, no, no. You have to do your research.

JIANG: On the 23rd of March, you said you knew this was going to be a pandemic.

TRUMP: I did know it … Anybody knew it. How many cases were in the United States when I did my ban? How many people had died in the United States?

JIANG: So, do you acknowledge that you didn’t think it was going to spread? Did you not think it was going to spread?

TRUMP: How many cases were in the United States — I did a ban where I’m closing up the entire country. How many people died? How many people died in the United States, and yet I closed up the country. And I believe there were no deaths, zero deaths at the time I closed up the country. Nobody was there. And you should say thank you very much for good judgement.
48   HeadSet   2020 Apr 21, 7:15am

This from the people who criticized the ban at the time. Even now, they are calling Trump xenophobic for wanting to put a temporary halt on immigration until we recover the economy from the Covid-19 shutdown.
