Google is developing a website dedicated to the coronavirus after all.

Following a press conference by President Trump on the COVID-19 outbreak, in which he touted Google's plans to design a site where people could visit to have questions answered and be directed to testing centers, there was some confusion when the media said it was actually a life-sciences sister site, Verily, that was developing it.

However, Saturday night, Google confirmed it was, in fact, creating such a site. In a series of tweets, Google announced it "is partnering with the U.S. government in developing a nationwide website that includes information about COVID-19 symptoms, risk, and testing information."

The mainstream media is SO full of shit.

No one with any dignity or self-respect would work for the NY Times, CNN, NPR, or any of the other lying propaganda outlets. Gross. All they can get these days are blue-haired infertile tatted-up shrews.

CBS caught using crowded Italian Hospital footage over a story about the Coronavirus in New York City.

It's not playing on their website, but here's the video of the program under the CBS This Morning Youtube Account:

Epidemics are like that.

This epidemic is no worse than the flu. You are already spinning like a top.

Most people lack a natural feel and understanding for the power of exponential growth, and so fall victim to memes that seek to trivialize the effects of this illness and the speed at which it can strike and grow. This differentiates Covid-19 from comparisons with other illnesses.

Most novel strains of diseases spread exponentially, then crap out as they infect healthy people whose immune systems whoop their ass.

Again, the true number those who were or are infected of Wuhan Virus is probably in the tens of millions, maybe over 100M already. Only the most ill or paranoid, a fraction of the real number, are reporting to hospitals or doctors for tests. The rest are Netflixing and Soup, going back to work after catching "a cold" or "the flu" a few days later.

I would say most people on this blog are well educated and something as simple a exponential growth is not new. In fact, I would say the ones who taut their intellectual superiority are more likely the ones who just discovered the grade school story about "take one grain of rice, double it each day for a month," and then consider themselves smart. From Oct 2019 until now, CDC estimates up to 62,000 deaths by the flu in the US. So far less than 3,000 have died from COVID-19 in the US. Maybe you can spin this as the only reason more did not die from COVID-19 is that so many were killed by the flu first. Maybe if the rate of deaths does slow down, some can dazzle us with their knowledge of "logarithmic growth."

Yup. The death rate can drop exponentially as well when those at the edge get pushed off and die. I appreciate not trying to overwhelm healthcare, but we're keeping people alive too long in miserable conditions. Whatever.

Sure, Democrats have an interest in maximizing death.

It would totally be in keeping with Democratic maximization of deaths in "flyover country" by their relentless support for Wall Street's and China's massive destruction of US manufacturing capability in search of profits. And then calling the dead "racist" for objecting to their own deaths.

he brought the U.S. economy to near full employment.

True!
He's doing a passable job handling this "pandemic" as well!
