If you did go to France, they are very friendly in the south.

Is it just me, or do I almost never hear very much positive about the French? I have limited interest in Europe (vacationing) and zero in ever seeing France. I can see old structures in a bunch of other places in the world and that's about the only positive thing I've heard about France. There's better natural scenery in a shitload of other places as well. I don't get it.
Hash browns are obviously taster but it's good to have some veggies, esp with a meal as protein rich as steak & eggs.
In terms of tourism, Quebec City & to a lesser extent, Montreal, are a good way to get some French experience w/o leaving the continent.
