If this were literally true, it would be nearly as instructive as a politician that was not lying. You could always just assume the opposite as long as the statement had an opposite. Regarding coal and war, HRC was actually pretty honest relative to Trump. Trump is much more coal friendly, but at least HRC was honest when she said that the coal heyday is over. Regarding war, Trump was on both sides in the past, saying what was popular at the time. It's not surprising that he was totally bluffing when he said he knew more than the generals. He just rolled in and is basically coming around to doing what they say. He gives them as much rope as they will take, and has three in his cabinet. He has upped the rate of bombing by about 35%.

That was a hyperbole, of course. A few politicians that are an exception to the rule - Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich - were driven out by the party elites. Paul was targeted by making his district more democratic-leaning - republicans, who did the redistricting were OK with an election loss if they can get rid of an honest person. With respect to Ms. Clintons' refreshing honesty about coal, she was most likely pandering to environmentalists. She is not only a politician, but also a lawyer, which is a double-lying whammy. Just remember her babble about sniper-fire landing in Bosnia.
