Things have been volatile globally since 2000. 2017 is going to ramp it up to 11

Buckle up, buttercups.

Shit is going to get so real on the economic, geopolitical, social protest and civil strife, and nation-state crises and relations' fronts that 2017 will be viewed by those of us living through it as th year that the world, among our generation, REALLY WENT HAYWIRE.

In fact, many even healthily strong people will see what's known as a response exhaustion type syndrome, caused by frequent adrenal gland activity and cortisol releases, as their bodies attempt to cope with the non-stop tidal wave of stress that they see, hear about and maybe experience first-hand, in the coming years.

One good CME will throw us back to the Pre-Industrial age overnight. But that will or will not happen regardless of who is POTUS or any other human concern. It almost happened in 2012, but the earth got a near miss. https://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2014/02may_superstorm
It's a good non-conspiracy-based reason to be a prepper though! When the lights go out, and stay out, that's when shit is going to get real.

Got ammo?

Not nearly enough!
I figure we'd have about 1 week before the gangs start taking over the cities. A month after that, the only civilization remaining would be in small towns and Mad Max style anarchy in and around every major city. The military would be recalled from every overseas base, returning home to attempt to police the madness. Probably the USA would be done, reduced to fiefdoms no more than 50 miles across (the distance a good horse can go with a mounted man in a day.) It would probably take 50 years to recover.

i disagree - the sun is starting to poke through the clouds of the last 16 years and fairly soon we will be on our way to a long stretch of social stability and institutional trust.

the major terror attacks, endless war, financial meltdown, ongoing recession, mass government surveillance, extreme liberal social issues as national discussion, etc. etc. are now in the rearview mirror and we are taking a deep breath as we drive away.

feels good, man.

Glad a collapse would never lead to nuclear exchanges.

A graduate school close friend of mine worked for the FBI before law school and then in federal prosecutor's office in Chicago, and now works as partner at major law firm.

He told me on Saturday (at wedding reception of mutual friend) that U.S. Federal Law Enforcement & Intelligence Agencies are in state of disarray and that at least 1/3 of his friends still working in FBI have either left since election, requested transfers or or contemplating doing so.

He is a moderately conservative guy & not some partisan hack who doesn't even enjoy politics, but said that Trump's presidency is literally throwing alphabet soup agencies and federal law enforcement into panic mode, as they do not know how to brief Trump given that he is trying to do things like have his son-in-law involved in classified and even top-secret briefings.

He also said, whether a correct assessment of not (he is nether a supported or detractor of Trump), that top-level people at both the FBI and CIA are horrified by Trump, and that the current DOJ is almost actively engaged in thwarting the transition to Jeff Sessions' leadership.

Get your wife and or Mommy to take you out of your car seat that's still facing backwards and put you in the front seat on a cushion like a big boy so you can see better and lighten on up on the Trump brand Kool-Aid.

this has nothing to do with trump, you fucking idiot - although he is an unlikely hero in all of this / someone that the people could use to regain control over the political process and defy the great narrative; avoid a total collapse of the country as we know it.

this is about generational cycles and the collective attitudes towards the future direction of the country. people are tired of social ideals, shady government elitism and corruption, globalization that hollows out the core, strange left wing anti-family values agenda, the specter of socialism, authoritarian de-growth energy policy

btw - weren't you the crybaby that ran away from california?

Isn't it beyond belief how the freakin' Left fell in love with the Intel Agencies over the past few months?

It's obvious the Liberals got shown the door before they could finish their plans.
So now they are in full tip the table over, and break shit mode.

Nah Assholes will get some rubber bullets(first)... There will be order here.

And if some of ya have to go, Michael Moore did it to yourselves.
