Do you think the Russian starting to attack oil infrastructure and trucks bound for Turkey with ISIS Oil -- and then suddenly having one of their Jets attacked isn't a pointer in the right direction?
Or Erodgan arrested journalists left and right for reporting the Smuggling of Oil into Turkey and Arms into Syria isn't a clue?
Or that Russia increasing the number of attacks on ISIS Oil after the Turks downed their Sukhoi not a response?
It also doesn't sound like the US likes Turkey 'going rogue' and hiding behind NATO. Too dangerous.

I think you got it backwards. The downing was payback for targeting the non-ISIS Turkmen, ethnic Turks. As Vlad would do if NATO strayed into Russia's airspace on its way to bomb ethnic Russians in the Ukraine.

Turkey, with that fanatic Islamist Erdogan needs to get booted out our of NATO. He is the odd man out (odd asshole out, to be precise)
We don't need sharia lovers as a member of NATO.

actually sat with 3 former USSR natives at lunch the other day when they pointed out that turkey does have grand ambitions to unite all turkic-speaking people (and there are way more than just in turkey). and that russia was indeed bombing some of those turkic people in syria.

The Turkmen smuggle arms and supplies to Islamists; many of the so-called Turkmen are actually Turkish "Grey Wolves" ultranats. Turkey already took the region around Antioch before, now it wants Aleppo.
I believe Putin stepped up their bombing after these Grey Wolves shot his pilot.
So Putin decides to accuse Erdogan of buying ISIS oil. Erdogan calls BS asks for proof and promises to quit if such proof is provided. In return he asks whether Putin is ready to do the same if there is no proof. The whole world gets to see Vlad's balls shrink to the size of pinheads as he refuses to provide proof stating some bogus excuses:
Russia claimed Tuesday that it possessed proof of Turkey's oil trade with ISIS but refused to share the information.
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the data would instead be used to combat terrorism.

Peskov's remarks came after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan challenged his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to prove his claim that Turkey was involved in buying oil from ISIS.
Putin had claimed Turkey shot down a Russian military jet last week because it was targeting the oil trade between Turkey and ISIS. Turkey maintains the SU-24 bomber was shot down after ignoring repeated warnings that it was violating Turkish airspace on Nov. 24.
The incident over the Turkey-Syria border has led to escalated tension between Moscow and Ankara, with Putin announcing sanctions against Turkey.
Erdogan said he would step down if Russia could prove the claim about oil and called on Putin to do the same if he could not.
“As soon as such a claim is proved, the nobility of our nation requires [me] to do this,†he said. “I will not remain in this post. But I am asking Mr. Putin, would you remain?â€
Erdogan added: “It is obvious where we legally buy oil and natural gas from. Everyone must know that we are not that disreputable to make such a deal with terrorist organizations.â€
PS. Now that Erdogan is winning 2:0 in the "game of balls" will our resident Putin's brides start getting wet for Erdogan instead?
