Recently I had someone hack into my verizon account on the web and order a new phone to some random place. The website had my name, phone number, address, last four of my credit card, date of expiration, and probably a few other info.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what I need to do from here to protect myself?

Thanks

Get a new credit card number.
I don't give websites any information, other than what it takes to use that site or service.

At times I use a pre paid visa card you can get anywhere, to make purchases on sites I am not comfortable with. I maintain just a small balance, unless I am making a bigger purchase.
Other than that, wait for Apple Pay.

I use credit cards not debit cards. If they steal, mess with your debit card, you can be wiped out and it can take 8 to 12 weeks (or more) to get stuff straightened out. I have 3 credit cards, 2 of which do not hold me responsible for purchases I don't lay claim to (the other one holds me to $50.00). I pay my balance every month so I don't get hit with interest. If one card were to get compromised, I get another card from the issuer and use one of my other cards. I'm getting a percent back on my purchases too, so instead of me paying them; by paying off my balance, they pay me to use the cards.

Look into these cards:
Citibank. 5% back on grocery stores, gas. 1% everything else. Had it for 10 years.
Costco Am Express - 2% on travel and restaurants. 1% everything else.
Citibank Drivers Edge. - 2% on everything. To be used towards purchase of any car. Had it since college.
I just use the the right card for the right occasion.

Thanks for the good advice. Besides checking my credit, anything else I should be doing on top of what has been said already?

Have one credit card just to use for online purchases.

I use Pay Pal wherever I can online.
