This could be why the store did not report a robbery.

http://crooksandliars.com/2014/08/ferguson-cops-busted-new-video-seems-show

Supposedly, the video shows Brown robbing the store, taking a box of cigars. However, the attorney for Ferguson Market says that it was not anyone from the store that called police to report a robbery. In fact, a customer called to report what he viewed as a robbery.

How, then, did police get the tape? According to St. Louis News, the attorney said, "‘during the course of Ferguson's investigation, the police department from Ferguson, came to the store and asked for to review the tape." In other words, the tape was not viewed by police until after Michael Brown was dead in the street.

In their fervent effort to cast Brown in a negative light, they missed that the video seems to show Brown paying for the Swisher Sweets.

Criminals exist to hurt us. Cops exist to protect us. By default cops get the benefit of the doubt. If cops are proven guilty we jail them.

Good point.. Best trick ever!

Wish I could learn to do that and help all the criminals disappear. ISIS too.

Brilliant analysis. Somehow the original poster assumes or at least insinuates that the police should have looked for the tape before they shot the thug. There is a problem Houston. Most mildly informed village idiots know that the robbery happened only about ten minutes before the patrolman was stopping the two innocent cigar wielding choir boys from the corner store (who were also passing out Watch Tower leaflets in the middle of the street and singing Three Dog Nights: Black and White). During Robin Hood and Little John's passing out swishers to the peasants in the hood, the dispatch call about the robbery came into the local cruiser. Oops. Now the police may know for the first time....that this may not be a humanitarian re-distribution of wealth inspired by the President as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would like us to believe. But our unbiased poster is begging us to ask: Should the patrol man have quickly driven to corner store to check the video to make sure that the description of our two man community cigar liberators matched their strong arm cameo only minutes before.... before saying, " Hey Dickhead with the Swishers, get the fuck out of the middle of the street"???!!! Hmmm. Wow. Where oh where is Oprah when we need her!!??? I guess we'll just have to wait for Spike Lee to make the documentary to find out what REALLY HAPPENED!!!

Why don't we work on it Call Crazy? We could gain fame and fortune. We could be on Oprah.

Of course he did, he just likes to push store proprietors out of his way as he walks though the store like he owns the place. Then turns around and gets in their face, before he exits the store.

I seriously believe dan was abused by a cop as a child.
There is no other explanation for his position. Even the liberal left chides him over this issue.
So we should give him some slack, and counseling as needed.

Clearly there is no consensus as to whether Brown paid or not - the debate continues. It would be foolish to assume he was a thief, when the unskewed polls tell us a different story.

The market owners never filed any complaint. In a vacuum you might just say 2 guys with a beef with each other. Now that I think about it, it's strange nobody has mentioned if the customer who called 911 has been interviewed and what they said.

16   Al_Sharpton_for_President   2014 Aug 22, 2:39am

But he was a big, scary black man. You just knew he was up to no good. Once again, The Bush Doctrine applies. Winning!

17   Tenpoundbass   2014 Aug 22, 2:41am

The Store owner has to live and work in a community where standing up for Justice is considered snitching and can have deadly consequences.

Here's my take on it. If the store owners didn't have a beef with the kid taking the Cigars, then he wouldn't have shown the cops the video. It's not like some detective hacked it off their surveillance system. He(the store owner) Probably got harassed and threatened after that surveillance footage was shown.

You don't think CNN would actually report that would they? Of course not, "the store owner didn't press charges" is a better Narrative.

They didn't post it on PD Vine or anything. Fox News said the market complied with a WARRANT for the video some while later.

Breaking Brown?

Is that like Breaking Bad? The site claims they are trying to stimulate Black intellectualism, while sheepishly appealing to the baller drug slinger in them.

God forbid, they free them selves from the White Liberal narrative shackles.

20   MisdemeanorRebel   2014 Aug 22, 3:31am

I don't know about Ferguson, but in NYC they bust store owners for selling loose cigarettes (and cigars?) all the time.

Store owner/manager probably not advertising he broke down a pack of Swishers.

21   EInvestor   2014 Aug 22, 4:15am

The video clearly shows Brown shoving the store clerk aside with a box of cigarillos in his hand and walking out the store with the box of cigarillos. Those who want to suggest/believe that is normal behavior for a customer to pay for purchase and then shove the store clerk aside is just insulting their OWN intelligence, if they have any ! Who would store owner press charges against ? A dead robber ? And the mob still looted the store !

I still dont see how any of this is pertinent.

It smells like the big government loving union supporters are using this as some sort of justification for police officers carrying out punishment for the alleged crime of petty theft. With six to the head

Unskewed polls. Repeat after the idiot. Unskewed polls. Who writes crap like this? Same fucking moron that starts a sentence that tells me I am foolish to assume this upstanding BYU graduate was a thief just because he showed "hood" behavior by stealing ciggys and pushing proprietors around like rag dolls on the playground in 3rd grade. Would the next Neville Chamberlain tell us again that we should disarm and hold hands! Koooom bye yahhh!!!

In some countries private security with automatic machine guns would cap someone for taking ish out of the store. Would that have been better instead?

That store owner is an idiot for opening a business in a place like that. Atleast he gets his famous cigars back. We might see them on Ebay for $10,000.

And if they convict the officer to life, or the death penalty, what's that going to change? Best case scenario, nothing. Worst case, cops will just avoid all confrontation and let the thugs run wild. Do you actually think they are all going to take a sensitivity training class and change? Would you like them to run away when a thug challenges them?

Imagine a cop begging a criminal to obey him...."please please please, sugar on top"
America would become the land where criminals rule.
I'm finding it hard to digest why cops are hated more then criminals.

I figured best case scenario is a little bit of justice is served

Maybe these union gangs of big government thugs will think twice next time before executing an unarmed civilian in broad daylight. But only if we can have them think they will be held accountable for their crimes
