This was released prior to police explaining the circumstances of Brown's encounter, as to bias the public.

What happened was the PD probably spent the last few days viewing every piece of footage from any incident on that day, trying to find a big black guy doing something wrong.

Let's just wait for facts to come out. Did Michael Brown know the fact that the officer was unaware of the robbery? Could he be resisting? An "unarmed" person can become armed in an instant, especially if he has "strong" arms. It is all speculation at this point.

I don't defend this guy but I wouldn't want to be a random black Gen Y male born and/or living in a St Louis County quasi-ghetto.

It's not just a black problem, it's not just a white problem. It's a structural problem, an issue with our society as a whole, on all levels.

It's economics as charted above, it's cultural (shitty standards of behavior) in communities, it's historical racism and current bigotry and prejudice, simple contingencies of network effects (lower class people tend to only circulate among lower class people), and these issues are all feeding back on themselves.

It's a tough life out there. It doesn't have to be this bad, but our economy is about as corrupted as the Soviet Union's got in the 1980s, we just don't know it yet.

It reminds me of the 1951 movie "The Big Carnival", originally supposed to be titled "Ace in the Hole", that was based on the true account of Floyd Collins who became trapped in a cave in 1925 and the hoopla that grew up during the efforts to rescue him, which failed and he's still in there. Everyone had a great time, especially the press and the movie implies through Kirk Douglas who is the reporter desperate for a story, to prolong the drama as long as possible.

Instead of Rep/Con/Teas getting a traffic citation,the law enforcement officer should shoot them in the drivers seat. These useless criminals should not live another day to have a chance to commit more vicious crimes. This is the way to deal with R/C/Ts that don't take Personal Responsibility.
