Illegal immigrants into Mexico will receive "Regional Visitor's Cards" allowing them to remain in Mexico for 72 hours….. presumably enough time to make it to the US border.

This is an unfortunate situation all around. We are talking about kids here. The absolute first and foremost concern should be ensuring that they are safe and that they have an opportunity to be heard because many are leaving their home countries because the situations there are pretty bad.
This is also a situation where once again the GOP has gotten themselves into a bad place where by showing their true colors in regards to immigration they will be sending a message to the immigrant population in the US- a population they MUST win over if they care to have any chances in 2016. Amazing that the party somehow never learns from its mistakes.

The gop's true colors are to do everything possible to keep illegal immigration exactly as it is now to satisfy the gop's corporate owners insatiable need for cheap labor while crying as loudly as possible that illegal immigration must be stopped to con the billy bob voter base into believing the gop actually wants to do something something about illegal immigration but are being blocked by "the liberals"..
