Democrats trying to win back the U.S. House of Representatives this year have seized on the issue of income inequality to beat Republicans.

There’s just one problem: the districts where Democrats have the best shot to win Republican-held seats show some of the smallest gaps between rich and poor in the U.S., an indication of just how hard it will be for their message to take hold with voters.

Of the 100 congressional districts ranked as having the greatest gap between rich and poor, not one is held by a Republican whose seat is considered up for grabs this November, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

Democrats face hard sell on "the world is older than 10,000 years" in these districts.

Red herring.... Catch! Get it boy!

Democrats dominate urban districts where it has long been obvious to most people how the Republican crony capitalism works.

Republicans want you to keep your money, Democrats want to take it or give it to someone else.

You seem to have overlooked the period 2001-2009. Republicans want to take your money to wage crusades all over the world including here at home. Democrats want to take your money to medicate everyone, including toxic placebos for imaginary illnesses advertised on TV. They're not the same; they represent rival imperial patronage networks, with one shared demand.

Despite the majority of the people wanting these things desperately, neither party will even consider:
1) bringing back American industry to the USA through government tax incentives/penalties so that Americans can have jobs building things here.
2) an end to this horribly expensive war on drugs.
3) keeping our civil liberties rather than attempting to wash them away in every legislative session with a tide of new unconstitutional laws.
4) regulating the banking sector from raping the public
5) refraining from starting new wars all over the planet. Whether it's Iraq, endless war in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, or this new bullshit in the Ukraine, defense contractors always push us to military engagements so they can sell arms to us and spend 48% of the national budget on war. Bush/Obama is a huge disappointment in this regard.
6) reigning in "for profit" post secondary education that is racking up student loans for kids and giving them literally nothing in return. Many of these schools (like Kraplan) aren't even accredited, but they know how to fast track your government student loan application to get the max possible per year (which incidentally is their fee).
7) removing H1B visas from making tech and other workers have to compete for their jobs against the entire world.
8)removing sweetheart immigration status for foreigners who come here, buy a house, and squat, thereby driving up housing prices because the lower limit is set at half a million.
9)stop giving money through the Fed to bankers and investment institutions so thy can buy our houses out from under us and make us permanent renters! (Tho I'm sure you don't see this one as a problem)

I could go on and on but I have to go to work and slave away for a large investment bank who owns my company so I can pay my inflated mortgage and excessive taxes.

but actually gave a slight majority of their donations to Democrats in the 2008 cycle

the one where it looked like the GOP had just killed itself as a going concern, where they lost to an immigrant African muslim child smuggled into the country in the 1960s?

The financial sector is far and away the largest source of campaign contributions to federal candidates and parties, with insurance companies, securities and investment firms, real estate interests and commercial banks providing the bulk of that money.

Well, Goldman paid about half a million dollars to Hitlary for a few speeches.

Must be really concerned with "Inequality" over there at Goldman-Sachs.

The parties are not the same. They are different in the way they seek to cheat te citizenry and restrict freedoms. Different methods, same end result. This is because the big money has stolen our congressmen, our president, our judicial system (look at the McMillan occupy wall street case) our federal agencies (think FDA and prescription drugs), and every other nonprofit organization they can pervert or subvert with money.
Even organizations that are supposed to be promoting innocuous things like public health like the American Nutrition and Dietetic Association have been bought off by Coke and McDonalds (who catered their annual meeting).

My point is: corporations, bankers, and the ultra wealthy run this country, irrespective of efforts at democracy. Whichever cat's paw of a political party they use, the goal is the same: consolidation of power, money, and control.

I never said don't vote, but I will continue raising awareness of the banana republic our nation has become.

Republicans want to take your money just as much as Democrats do.

Not how the EB-5 program works. Nice try, though. I explained how the EB-5 works in a thread yesterday.

Neither party will give me TP for my bunghole either, but that doesn't mean they are the same.

The article should be titled,"Democrats attempt to sell Welfare to Republican controlled districts for upcoming election."

but they're offset by the legions of dumb losers who think they deserve someone else's property more than the owner does.

They inhabit places called colloquially "the projects" if the city is large and old enough. They also inhabit the "ghetto" now also called the "inner city."

You forgot about trailer parks in the red states.
