Its great they got the necessary mass-energy down from Jupiter to the voyager spacecraft. Still that's 16 gigatons of TNT. Put in layman's terms that is one HELL of a lot of energy!
Still its impressive they've dropped the energy requirement this far. I'm hoping in a few years the model will be refined enough to achieve warp 5 with a few AA batteries.
No word on the dilithium crystals yet though. Dilithium must be off on that island of stability somewhere...
It's kind of like they got the universe to agree to go to bed with them for 16 gigatons of energy. Now that it's established that the universe is a whore, it's just a matter of bargaining to the right price. All in all, a good first step toward Patrick Stewart in Borg costume.
