The only problem I have with the World War II generation is their flat out spoiling the hell out of their kids. Their theory was simple, that NO ONE should have to go through what they went through in the Great Depression and the war and THEN the early days of the Cold War. Most people don't know the early and even the mid fifties were still very lean times. The country was deeply in debt from all it had just been through. People were exhausted.

Pittsburgh is doing better than it had been. We drove through there on the way to State College awhile back and I was surprised at how bad the traffic was. If I were younger and had a different career path, I might consider moving there.

Yep it's doing better than a lot of other Rust Belt cities. Pittsburgh's mass-exodus happened back in the early 80's when steel collapsed. It's been fairly stable since then. Compared to Upstate NY, Pittsburgh seems like a boom town. I still have family in the area and would like to move back.

Ohio put a gay marriage question on the ballot in 2004 and all the old people turned out, just as they have a Right To Work law on the ballot this year and expect a similar turnout. Had that not happened, John Kerry would have won. We know it for a fact.

Tomorrow they'll want to force churches to accept them and mainline clergy to perform the services. The day after that they'll want it taught as "normal" to schoolchildren, and we've already seen that in California because Sac is controlled by the liberals and gays are increasingly influential in the Democratic party because they donate large sums of money to liberal causes. They seek to corrupt every single traditional values institution we have and it's based on anger. ALL OF IT.

Do you realize that if one of them held a pilot's license and went divergent on all three axes like that in front of an FAA Authorized Medical Examiner, the FAA would pull his medical? Why? I haven't heard of a situation where they've actually been successful in forcing Christian clergy to perform gay marriages against their will...yet. I know they're working on it.

The Methodists and Episcopalians are already accepting gay clergy. The Methodists fought it and lost. The Episcopalians were always more liberal and have been doing it for awhile. The Episcopal church in America and the Anglicans in Canada and Church of England are all basically the same. At least one of the officiating clergymen at the last royal wedding was homosexual. Things are different over there.

I heard somewhere that the next target was the Lutherans but knowing what I know about those people, I'd say it'll be a very long time before they succeed there. The WELS Lutherans I know here are some of the most politically and social conservative people I know anywhere. We got invited to one of their weddings over in Sacramento and it was like a scene from of Deliverance. *I* felt like the liberal and among those people I probably was.
