I like it! I embedded the video rather than just having the link to it.

4   UhOh   2010 Dec 16, 4:01am

That video just gave me a little more confidence about the world today.

"Negative talk is what makes the market bad." LMAO!!!

Be much better by using different voices for each.

12   TechGromit   2010 Dec 16, 10:14pm

I understand now, I'm going to run and buy a house, maybe even 2.

14   klarek   2010 Dec 17, 12:21am

That video managed to nail every single dumbass agent talking point in just a few minutes. That was brilliant.

It even got the "buy or you'll hurt the market" bullshit line I see on Zillow the whole time. When you make a strong point about why it is stupid to buy, they accuse you of hurting the economy, hence hurting other people. This was much more prevalent back in 2007 when they (realtards) were in complete denial about what was going on. If their pitches were shot down, they'd resort to accusing the naysayer of literally ruining other people's lives.

I love the part about dumping paint over her cousin's head and him not noticing because he's on too much Prozac. HAHA

Roberto,

Is this video yours? Good stuff, but one suggestion:

Would you consider changing the voices so that they are not identical? I think they have a number of voices to choose from.

REALTORS Lie like the Chinese! They lie to your face every “minute” they open their mouth! I deactivated my California Real Estate broker license in 2006 because I was “ashamed aka Madoff”.

99% don’t understand “IRR aka Internal Rate of Return”!! They even say & print they are investment broker/agents! They have no Taxation,Accounting or Finance Degrees let alone Govt. or Edu. Certifications! Dad, thanks for “baiting” me in 1976. My Dad was a Real Estate Broker & Sgrt in the Army & Reserve for 28 years. I was lucky to double major in “civil & mechanical engineering” but switched to “Finance & Real Estate” due to the Easy Money in Real Estate! Thank you DAD for supporting my switch from Engineering to Business. I sold almost 8000 acres from 2000-2008! Wow! A Wild ride of 200 selling escrows! But, I closed on almost 3000 acres in California this 2010! My average cost of goods vs. 2006 high is very low, less than 5% of 2006.

That’s a 9900-1900% return vs. 2006! Tax FREE! $30-40million in 1 year! $60-100million if prices double every 10-15 years, which is normal for California…. From 1994-2004 my average cost of goods was about 7-8cents, yielding a Gross return of 1165%. My average cost of goods is about 3-4 cents vs. 2006 which translates to 2300% gross profit if 2006 prices return. And 5000% returns if prices double! Trust me, this is elementary Math! I got A’s in 4 semesters of Calculus!

Here is a good trick question and the answer is above: When is 5 cents = to 1000% return?

why do you bring Chinese into this? have you been lied to or hurt by Chinese?

Agreed. Comparing realtors to Chinese is an insult to Mao.

Someone REALLY needs to do an update on that "Suzanne Researched This" commercial. Did find one acerbic response about it on youtube:

I had a someone try one out on me."If you buy when the market is going down, it is the same as when you buy at the same price as when it is going up. The price is the price."

Huh?

That is stupid.

I’m actually a Realtor, and I made the thing…

Can you add “buy now, or you will be priced out forever”?
It’s a classic line.

We should make a list of classic lines of our feudalistic society and it's recent lies:

"These companies are too big to fail".
"Buy now, or you will be priced out forever."
"America is a friend to the people of Iraq. We have no desire to dominate, no ambitions of empire."
"Julian Assange is a terrorrist"

...there have to be a few more nice Gems by other politicians too. They've been selling us war, loss of jobs and why we need to give up benefits to provide more money for the rich or to bail out the rich on a daily basis.

I'm actually very impressed that you did this. Not a whole lot of folks out there would be willing to do anything that isn't profitable and even make fun of the industry they work in.

I've heard a lot of stupid things over the years, but that is pretty bad.

This video made me want to go and buy a few properties because "I want to help the economy" :) Thanks for the laugh.
