There is no value in clinging to the past. If there was a "Truth and Reconcilliation Committee", whatever that means, and everyone testified under oath and you got EXACTLY what you wish, it would make ZERO difference in your life.

We all experienced the same events. The entire globe was subject to the events of COVID, and the entire U.S. population was subject to the events surrounding the 2020 elections.

In the face of identical events, most folks have managed to thrive while others stagnate or fail. The difference between the two groups has little to do with the events themselves and everything to do with mindset and behavior. Some spend their energy on productive activities that benefit themselves and their families, while other squander their mana on unproductive pastimes that have no benefit. It's pretty much as simple as that.

If there is a better explanation as to why some thrive in the face of adversity while others whither, I have yet to hear it.

I suggest studying Stoic philosophy. Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is a good place to start, and there are lots of good YouTube videos on the subject. One of the key concepts of Stoicism is focusing on what you actually have some control over, e.g. your thoughts, actions, opinions, beliefs. By focusing on where you have power, you can actually improve your life and thrive in the face of adversity. Focusing on areas where you have no power provides absolutely zero return on investment.

According to Stoicism, focusing attention and energy on past events such as the 2020 election or COVID is not just a waste of time, but actually detrimental. Such behavior prevents one from focusing on thoughts and actions that will better oneself and improve one's life.

Nobody who has a brain thinks the pandemic was the Black Plague and nobody with a brain thinks Biden won fair and square.

This has exactly been my point in the past. I've asked Patrick if users could block individual posts (not users). There's literally still 4-8 active Covid threads going. I don't care anymore. I cared for two months and moved on. Didn't get vaccinate and a 3 time covid "patient." Yes I commented on those threads a lot. Yes it was bad how it was handled and I have no clue the motive. But it's over. See it the next time and call it out before the shit hits the fan. Can't dwell in the past.

Other users dwell on other stuff instead of making the future better. It's frustrating at times here. Catch the BS before or as it's happening. Not just bitch after the fact. And yes, I've been guilty of it myself.

Without knowing the motive, they will do the same thing again taking a different tact so I think it's worthwhile to find out or at least speculate.

My take is ignore and don't partake. I didn't with covid. I traveled and had a blast with some of the cheapest rates I'll ever see again in my lifetime for travel. Masks were rarely enforced traveling. Just have a drink in your hand. Easy enough for me. If you give things attention, they got you. And if you give it attention, do something about it.

At the end of the day people will get suckered into shit. I was concerned for about 2-4 weeks with Covid. It was the Chinese building a hospital in 10 days that had me calling bull shit early on. The photos of the "excavation" of the site made my bull shit meter immediately go off. It wasn't remotely how you excavate a slab site with the equipment "supposedly" being used on a flat site.

I think that was the trigger for the uninformed. "Oh my god this is soooo serious." I was like, nope, it's bull shit. That's not how you excavate a construction site for what they built. It's easily a top 10 propaganda photo of all time.

I saw that and by 2/2020 I knew Covid was shit. Every excavator bucket is on the ground not digging. Parked basically AND there's dozens more off to the back of the lot. This was a staged photo of a likely training site for equipment. Not a hospital being built. No different than the ICU photos from France I believe that were faked.

Fact is we get sick. We can't stop pandemics. Never will be able to. Take care of yourself and you'll be fine 99.99% of the time beside being 90 and frail.

The election stuff takes boots on the ground. Getting involved. Not some committee. Start a PAC not for candidates, but to be a watchdog for election BS.

I think they need a 'Satanic Inversion Lie Committee' to improve the quality and nature of their false virtue signaling and programmed deceptions to please and fool me again back into passive compliance so that I can go back to peaceful grazing and my fool's paradise until the Armageddon strikes for real.
