I grew up watching the Twilight Zone. Later I read books, including Animal Farm, 1984, science fiction, and other genres. For a while, I read about the various groups in the USA which were “utopian”; I was in New England and one group was known for their furniture, the Shakers. All in all, I grew up distrustful of politicians and the feelings are only worse today, decades later. Trump is awesome because he’s the anti-politician; he says what he believes, and fuck the consequences. Eisenhower and Reagan were also good, but surely they were less blunt. I recall John Kennedy who was inspirational and classy; “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” Now we must endure another empty headed creep politician who has been in politics forever, and is as vacuous, evil and corrupt as they come. The tech overlords are too greedy, powerful and anti-American. They want to profit from Americans, hire foreigners, while censoring us and lying to us. Today the situation is dire; if you believe that the Constitution is the rule of law, you’re a racist, a “nativist”, a descendant of slave owners. I tell everyone that I feel I am living in a very long Twilight Zone episode, which I want to end.
I watched this episode last night. Wife and I laughed at the ending, it seemed so funny somehow. Maybe the archaic cinematography, or the choreography? Obsolete! Obsolete!
