"Most" being the operative word here.
Unless you want to drive a roller skate stripped down base model entry car.
But those entry level cars account for only a small fraction. In fact dealers keep a limited stock of the 16K-21K models.
Unless they are the Grand Touring models of those skate cars and command an extra $6K.
You're quibbling with me over $2.5k on a cars sticker price?
Anything over $15K $9K the cars might as well be going for $100K in this economy.
I made my place energy efficient and its cut my electric bill in half or better. It used to range from $150-225 and now it ranges from $45-125. That was 6 windows and one sliding door, around $4000, with most of that being the door. Did the windows myself at around $175-300 each. Installed LED bulbs around the house at about $1000 for all. That way if the kids leave the lights on it's okay. I guess after two years I've recouped about $2400 of my $5000 investment. Give it another two years and it'll be paid for. My house will also sell for more and sell faster because of the upgrades. So I'd have to disagree that energy efficient upgrades don't make sense. They make a lot of sense, actually. Less energy use on a wide scale also helps bring down energy costs and prevents rationing when the grid maxes out.
He's dumber than the nurse at a hillbilly brisk.
He didn't do a damn thing last week but sing Amazing Grace.
Shit goes to hell around him and he comes out singing a song and smelling like roses.

Captain, you had a bad week with the victories Obama celebrated last week. So we're going easy on you this week. Next week will be a whole new week. You know Apocalypse hasn't eaten in a week.
Shit goes to hell around him and he comes out singing a song and smelling like roses.
That's because the shit storm is raging only in the GOP world. That's why you're in such a shitty mood. Go take a dump and think about it.
he he he. Well he has been full of shit, even more than usual.
What stupid has G.W.Bush done now?
Paying more than 10% of MSRP for a car is another brilliant financial move. One can park it the garage they overpaid for.
It's cool to throw one's money away.
More stupid results from stupid ideas from a stupid President
Yeah, things are just getting worse and worse for Omama (NOT).

DieBankOfAmericaPhukkingDie says
Obama wakes up every day in tears begging Michelle to shoot him.
Instead, she mounts a strap on and rapes him from behind while singing the Internationale and beats him unconscious with a chair leg.
That's only if she's in a good mood.
As now your average used drivable car starts at $3500(and that's for something you know is going to need major mechanical work throughout every year) the most basic new car now starts at $21,000K but hey if you can't afford it, then buy a 6 year old car for only about 30% less than a new car.
It's a good thing you never let real life intrude in your world. Using something called the internet (you should try it sometime) I came up with 300 cars within 60 miles in the 3000-4000 dollar range that had between 80-120k. Cars in that mileage range don't need major mechanical work every year. I drive a couple 250k vehicles that don't need major mechanical work every year. But I keep on top of minor stuff before it becomes major stuff. There are 2 brand new 2015 fiesta's that pretty loaded (ac,pw,pdl, stereo, etc) sitting on my local dealers lot for 14k right now today. Edmunds says average depreciation in 6 years is 60%. But hey what would edmunds know, they are just the largest source of car pricing information. They certainly don't have the resources of the captain has. Like pulling shit out of his ass.

But it cash for clunkers was a smashing success. It took away the right of passage to drive and be self sufficient, now this demographic wont be able to drive until they are at least 27, that's if the college career they chose will actually produce a living wage. Before cash for clunkers a car was essentially worthless after it was paid off. Now any car that can start is an asset. You can now get $1200 for any junk car(are they still getting rebates from the government?).
Anyway, but yeah! Cash for caulkers was a huge waste of money.
