If Zimmerman were black and Martin white, you'd be saying that Martin was an American hero standing up to a thug who attacked him. You would call it self-defense and the right thing to do.

The rest of us don't give a shit about the skin colors of the people involved. An adult who stalks a minor, chases him across a field, and aggressively approaches him gives more than enough reasonable cause for the other person to believe his life is in danger. Had Zimmerman done this to an off-duty, plainclothes cop, the cop would have shot him no fewer than a dozen times and then tazed his dead ass several times. And you would call that cop a hero and say he did nothing wrong.

I don't think you understood what the words "opinion" and "facts" mean. An opinion is a value judgement. A fact is a verifiable event. It is verifiable that
- Zimmerman called 911
- the 911 operator told Zimmerman not to pursue the boy
- Zimmerman pursued the boy anyway
- Zimmerman got out of his car
- Zimmerman chased Trayvon on foot.

Anyone who denies any of these facts is simply a scumbag, racist liar. The only reason people like CIC are pro-Zimmerman is racism. This is true regardless of whether or not Zimmerman himself is a racist.
