Why do you all think that nurse got on the plane to Ohio? Duh. Why wouldn't she? I have traveled sick before...who hasn't? I wouldn't if I could delay my trip by 1-2 days or even a week. But I cannot do so without incurring huge fees (in addition to higher costs of purchasing last minute). The airline industry is doing better now, so I think it's time for them to adjust to the times and have reasonably priced, exchangeable tickets...just like bus and train travel.
Note: I don't know that I would've traveled with a 99.5 fever after treating an Ebola patient, but I mean, if the CDC told me it was OK.... I don't excuse her, but I still use her to make my point.
