Deflation is a good thing because efficiencies in technology and methods get passed onto common people. Government and bankers essentially stole those cost savings to deficit spend and create new customers.

Now when deflation sets in, the loans go bad and it puts finance on check. So when the economy just favors inflation, then deficit spenders, bad business models based on leverage, and the FIRE economy gets out of control.

So overall, deflation is a means to actually see which business model had it right.

Continued implies that we are currently undergoing stagflation. With inflation under 2%, I'm not sure what the heck you are thinking...

Yes we have been having stagflation for a while, i.e wages not keeping up with the high inflation in essentials, way over 2%.
