Guy takes out bigger mortgage than he can afford, banks crash, so he decides to live rent free as revenge for the last 5 years. Meanwhile all of reddit cheers him on for being a thief.

Not saying that the banks were right, but it's disheartening to see that theft is now considered admirable!

"Well, Countrywide went bankrupt and was sold. I came home one day and there were foreclosure papers tapped to my door from a Chinese bank, yes a Chinese bank. The documents were in Chinese, so i threw them away."

"I believe you are correct, according to Maryland law (as I was told by my friends Aunt, who is a lawyer) if the Bank does not have the original mortgage papers, their claim is invalid. After 7 years of residence with no legit claims against the property, it would become mine. Good old Squatters Rights!"

"Thank you! I hope so too, it would be nice for the working man to win one for a change."

a lot of people here would have cheered him too. it's the American way. it's always someone else's fault. this society is morally bankrupted as well.

Anyone that attempts to sell me real estate without holding the wet ink mortgage & promissory note is committing FRAUD.

Mr. Comptroller, Do you have a spare Gatling I could use.
