It allowed the government to bypass the constitution for 30 years until it could start an even more effective war, the war on terrorism.

Forgot in which south-american country they have legalized most drugs, but I think there is at ;east somewhat of a chance that Mexico might follow soon as they have recently disassembled their drug task force and are reconsidering options. That would up the pressure on the US (and also limit control) to end this nonsensical war.

How about the Citizens United ruling, that makes political contributions towards elections unlimited, anonymous, and also untracable. How much Afghanistan-opium laundered money is used under the above, OR to just outright launder money?
