They must mean the housing bubble and crash.

Down with Libertarianism, as it has already proved to be a failure. Anarchism is always a failure!

Gary -- I need to point out that it is intellectually dishonest to take a partial point of a whole argument and then falsify it.

That is what you're doing here.

Dr. Paul argues for a honest monetary system, which is a good thing. Without even considering this main issue (which IMHO is at the root of various big problems), you are accusing libertarianism to be anarchism.

Secondly, I think there's only one politician (Jon Huntsman) who is spending his political capital arguing for breaking up the big banks. Each politician spends his political capital fighting for the cause that he/she thinks is important. Dr. Paul recognizes the spending problem, which is a good thing.

To accuse a person who actually was the only one predicted the housing bubble long before it occurred , would be responsible for the housing bubble is total dishonesty.

You have to recognize that there are several ways of solving a problem and each way comes with its own requirements of the participants in the society. Dr. Paul's is one way. He's not perfect, nobody is saying he is. But he recognizes most of the problems well ahead and he's certainly a good leader in that regard.

There is one way to stop crony capitalism. By regulation.

I completely agree. I posted that link above, do you really think I am asking for deregulation?

I think your hatred (which is what it is, given your articles at BI) towards libertarianism is intellectually dishonest, because you are not making a holistic argument. That is all I want to point out.

You should realize that all political systems (regardless of the principles) are inherently imperfect, because these systems are designed by humans.

You want more socialism from a government that is inherently corrupt. That is a contradictory position to take, IMO.

No, libertarians want no regulation. They had their chance and supported the deregulation of the banking industry. Their time has come and gone.

haha, you're more obsessed with labels than having an intelligent discussion. carry on!
