The Governor followed his conscience and never served again. But the victors write the histories, except when a loser agrees with a part of the victors history, then the victors history is good and right.

The evidence was overwhelming that Conely had changed his story multiple times, had previous record of violence, none of either for Frank.

Even Conley's own lawyer - who was hired by one of the papers that presumed Frank's guilt before the trial began - came to believe he did it after the trial, William Smith.

As a young law student back in in 1987, I read an article about "human rights violations" being perpetrated by Israel in the National Law Review. Never a shrinking violet, I dashed off a letter to the editor in protest. A couple of days after it was printed, two letters arrived in my law school mailbox, both of them antisemitic and threatening. I was a bit spooked, so I called the Chicago office of the Anti-Defamation League.

A fellow named Michael Lieberman invited me to come in, and when I showed him the letters, he recognized one of the authors, a known crank with many disturbing qualities by the name of Anthony Martin-Trigona. Back then, the ADL adhered to the values America was founded upon. It existed to protect Jews from attacks and did so within the confines of free speech values, albeit with a liberal slant. I know because after my encounter with ADL in 1987, I volunteered as an ADL legal intern. It was fun, and I did believe I was doing good. Everyone believed that. And it was true.

The ADL taught me that nastygrams from Jew haters were just the price we pay for liberty, worthy of being filed and forgotten. This is not Weimar Germany; it is America. We have a First Amendment, we have civil rights, we have a working democracy. That is part of the good we have done.

But the ADL no longer believes this. It has become part of a great online censorship machine that is being exposed day after day as an anti-free speech enterprise.

Our media is bullshit, and always has been. The age of yellow journalism never ended.

I just don't see any reason to look at reports from the media. Our media has ALWAYS lied and I don't think it's getting worse, I think more people are just becoming aware of it.

Your first link pretends that there weren't multiple testimonies from girls that Frank acted predatory. You're also acting as if Leo Frank didn't know Conley was literate and didn't withhold that information from investigators for weeks until they found out independently. We know Frank knew Conley was literate because they worked together on selling pocket watches in the factory, Frank kept the contracts in his safe.

Why did Leo Frank withhold information that he knew Conley was literate even though that information could have exonerated him earlier?
