The hijab is not like Christians wearing a cross; wearing a small religious symbol as an adornment is not required of anyone who attends any church; it's a custom not a requirement, and both sexes wear it or do not wear it as they choose.

The 2nd tweet to me sounds like her telling them to stop ignoring the elephant in the room. In recent years I see this so much - politically, people ignore the major factors causing problems, and instead focus on smaller factors that they have a chance at blaming other people for.

In my life, we are currently jumping through every social equity hoop possible to get a license from the state. They want a "diversity plan" for shit as simple as contractors.
