Thread for the Moore vs. I Forgot The Guy's Name Generic Stand-In Globalist Corporate Clone thread.

Interesting how NBC exit poll is reporting how people feel about Trump, whether the Moore allegations are true, etc. but I can't find where they asked WHO they just voted for (?!)

It’s a Senate seat

Pretty important

Sure. Not what I was getting at. But yes, senate seats are super important, thanks for clarifying. You've clearly never been to Alabama and understand the people that live there.

What were you trying to say?
22   mell   2017 Dec 12, 8:16pm

"Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!"

Sounds like a #MAGA response to me. Nothing to object here. Congrats to Jones.

What point are you trying to make?

Alabama is a shit hole. If you think Jones is going to vote lockstep with Democrats, that ain't happening if he wants to be reelected in that state. He'll turn into a R-Lite even though the D's will take credit.

The evangelicals will boot him the first chance they get anyway (not sure when that is as this was a special election).

I take issue with this being a referendum on "America" though. That's what this will be spun into tonight and tomorrow morning. Like I said, I could give a shit who won here. Moore would have had primary competition the next time around and Jones won't win the next election without falling in lockstep with the R's.

Call me out if I'm wrong, but this is going to be also spun as #metoo victory. This is going to be spun as a victory for Dems, even though this guy can never actually be a legit Dem. This is all bull shit and it's based on the dumbest voting population in the country. Victories will be claimed and all the while, on an intellectual basis, we're engulfed in a dumpster fire. Alabama doesn't matter. Alabama Senators don't matter. Tell me where I'm wrong? No scale is tipped here. This is all hype.
25   anonymous   2017 Dec 12, 8:16pm

I'm going to conclude that the polls were faked to favor Clinton in the 2016 election and the polls were faked in the opposite direction in this special election with both trying to achieve the same goal.

Did I get that right?
26   Tenpoundbass   2017 Dec 12, 8:18pm

If anybody needs me I'll be in the street in front of my house, kneeling on the ground looking over my shoulder to see if anyone is watching and yell 'NOOOOO!" up at the Sky.
I would move to Canada but the Liberals fucked that up too!

Ok I agree with most of that. The seat is up again in 2020. The thing is, we need to break up the Republican control of all three branches of government. Senate seats matter. Democrats suck and Jones is no great reformer, but it’s important to block Republicans from absolute power in government. All Republicans ever do is fuck over the Labor Class in this country, and take away freedoms while doing their best to fuck over the country and our people. Losing a Senate majority should at least serve as a speed bump to their destruction

And it’s 2017 in the United States of America. What kind of POS anti-American scum voters would tolerate these fucking jihadists bringing their Koran into our Justice System? Get a grip, losers. Keep your Failed Loser religion for halfwits the fuck away from my Country

Alabama Supreme Court blocks order to preserve digital voting records

Following an eleventh-hour order instructing voting officials in Alabama to keep the digital ballots generated in Tuesday’s controversial Senate election, the state’s Supreme Court has issued a stay to block that decision.

The order to preserve the records was issued by the Montgomery County Circuit Court on Monday afternoon — less than 24 hours before voting was set to begin — and the stay that will effectively nullify that order was issued late Monday night.

“All counties employing digital ballot scanners in the Dec. 12, 2017 election are hereby ordered to set their voting machines to save all processed images in order to preserve all digital ballot images,” the Montgomery County order stated.

Can't wait or the mid-terms

Dems picking up seats by an average of +16 for 2017. 'Bama senate a blowout though, skewing numbers, at +32. Can that be right? Too early maybe to know more solidly.

I'm with you Happy. Mid terms are going to be fun.

In the meantime we get to keep watching Mueller and the sexual misconduct accusations fester, reducing the administration into a little pile of goo.

The odds do move, as votes come in, and more information is revealed. Just like the odds change for your Texas Hold'em hand, as flop, turn, river each are turned over.

So, no, that's not NYT covering its ass.

That is what we call "math".

Let's see 2018 may be fun. All we need is more politically correct hateful arrogant tax and spend lefties in power. Maybe we have to become a Venezuela before we come to our senses-it is not like the dems have any ideas to better the country-except unlimited immigration and violently crushing free speech.

Prediction: All future elections will have random women come out raped by the republican candidate 30+years in the past, all of course weeks before the election and with no evidence.

And now all the Roy Moore sexual accusations will drop off the frontpage never to be heard from again... they accomplished their missions and the accusers got their checks...

Here was the poll averages from this morning. Let's see how accurate they end up THIS election:

Not very accurate, assuming no ballot box stuffing.
48   Rew   2017 Dec 13, 7:47am

The exit polling, approval of Trump is 48-48 ... in ... in Alabama!

Oh-ohhhh. Moore losing and Dems continuing to overperform isn't your only problem GOP.
49   anonymous   2017 Dec 13, 7:48am

Prediction: Every time a Republican loses an election, Republitards will cry foul. It’s rigged!

Roy Moore is a horrible candidate and he’s never done well in elections. His history of forcing his religion on the courts which is as anti-American as it gets, got him thrown off the bench twice, and coupled with his checkered past of grabbing prepubescent pussy, you could barely get half of Bama voters to vote for him

What the fuck does that say about the Republicans that voted for him? Are they a greater enemy to America than ISIS?

Don't get me wrong, totally agree with that sentiment and understand most shouldn't take it as a referendum. I get the news media has to do something to keep viewers, but like clockwork they spew this as a referendum on Trump somehow. Didn't catch much last night, but this morning that's all it was.

I know most people are idiots, but I tend to view my local candidates, even statewide office, on their own merits. They have nothing to do with Donald Trump. I don't even care if Trump supports them. I will vote for whoever is going to do things that will help me and my fellow citizens in my state the most. I would like to think most people do this as well, but as I mentioned, most are idiots. So they just drink whatever the media brews.

I probably wouldn't have voted for Moore regardless of the accusations. He seems too cowboy to me and Alabama kind of has a problem with being suck in that time. It's time Alabama grows up a bit and stops being the shit hole that it is. Jones will have to be a Republican lite anyway if he stands any chance in 2020. But maybe some of his more progressive views could catch on and bring some people in Alabama into the 21st century. Alabama is too far right and I don't necessarily think this outcome is all that bad.

53   FNWGMOBDVZXDNW   2017 Dec 13, 8:22am

Republican logic...
Republicans win close election: The election is the only poll that matters. An electoral win is a mandate no matter how narrow the victory. All close but wrong polls were rigged.
Democrats win close election: The election was rigged. Definitely bogus election. Election results are meaningless. Evil Dems will make much ado about nothing.

lol.

Along with the rest of the south. The deep conservatives states are the poorest, least educated, and least healthy by a wide margin. Yea let's Make America Alabama Again. If it wasn't for massive government spending paid for by the rest of the country half the people in the south would still be riding mules on dirt trails and using candles for light. Then they want to bitch about too much government spending (on other people). Remind me again why so many good people lost their lives to keep the south.

Actually that's not bad at all. Off by 3.5 pts in a Senate special election is about as good as could be expected.
