You doubt that your great country is on the wane? I say only this - look around you.

You implied that it only works in those states. Care to point out which states it doesn't work in your posts above.

Only to an idiot like you. I implied nothing of the sort.

When a man spends his own money to buy something for himself, he is very careful about how much he spends and how he spends it. When a man spends his own money to buy something for someone else, he is still very careful about how much he spends, but somewhat less what he spends it on. When a man spends someone else's money to buy something for himself, he is very careful about what he buys, but doesn't care at all how much he spends. And when a man spends someone else's money on someone else, he does't care how much he spends or what he spends it on. And that's government for you.

That's also private industry for you.

Private companies that waste money don't
last very long.

lol--have you ever worked in private industry?
31   anonymous   2017 Oct 20, 5:52am

At least companies don't steal money from you like
the government does.

They sure as hell do if they're able. And without government, they'll be able to a lot more easily.
33   anonymous   2017 Oct 20, 6:11am

Not many companies would last long if they stole money from customers.
34   joeyjojojunior   2017 Oct 20, 6:23am

Private companies are made up of people too. You realize this, yes?
35   anonymous   2017 Oct 20, 6:37am

If a private company screws you, you can boycott them.

If the government screws you, you are fucked.

Governments kill, beat, kidnap, torture, spy, and steal.

The state calls its own violence law, but that of the individual, crime.

Before our white brothers came to civilize us we had no jails. Therefore we had no criminals. You can't have criminals without a jail. We had no locks or keys, and so we had no thieves. If someone was so poor that he had no horse, tipi or blanket, someone gave him these things. We were too uncivilized to set much value on personal belongings. We wanted to have things only in order to give them away. We had no money, and therefore a man's worth couldn't be measured by it. We had no written law, no attorneys or politicians, therefore we couldn't cheat. We really were in a bad way before the white men came, and I don't know how we managed to get along without these basic things which, we are told, are absolutely necessary to make a civilized society.

Who is Chinese?

There are no armies without government.

Amazon is not a monopoly. You can't go to Walmart?

If a private company screws you, you can boycott them.

The government is not your daddy. The government is not your mommy.

You cannot defend yourself?

There aren't? Have you been to Africa?
39   anonymous   2017 Oct 20, 9:11am

If someone else can form an army then you can, too.
40   anonymous   2017 Oct 20, 9:27am

Saying that we can’t survive without the government, is like saying that animals can’t survive without farms.

Who wants to live in a police state?

Can I live somewhere with a functioning government and no police state?
43   anonymous   2017 Oct 20, 10:03am

There's never been a good government.

Americans are so fearful, brainwashed, dependent, or ignorant that they think like children and justify every law and overlook every abuse carried out by the government. They believe government workers are gods who can do no wrong. ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC

About half of what you are saying in this diatribe is correct. Now, why did you not post your thesis/diatribe up front. Then we would at least know what it REALLY was you wanted to discuss.

Here is the real problem: You cannot have a good government when the election system does not support electing good people.

There has never been anything beyond scratching out a short miserable existence without government.
48   anonymous   2017 Oct 20, 6:52pm

Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.
