Bubbles generally last longer than most people expect them to. Plenty of people were calling the peak in 2003-2004.

Plenty of people called peak in gold last year.

i wouldnt say rising cost of living necessarily indicates a bubble.
sometimes its just supply and demand that drives prices up.
