The U.S. Representative to the United Nations Loudly Declares a “New International Rules and Order” — As Long as You’re a “Rogue Regime.” If Your People “Can’t” Overthrow You, We Will…
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz delivered a fiery, hard-hitting response to the Iranian representative during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council at UN Headquarters in New York (February 28), clearly stating that “America’s decisive strike against rogue regimes sets a classic example for international order”:

Mike Waltz: U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations
I would like to exercise my right of reply in response to the representative of the so-called Iranian regime. The United States strongly rejects this absurd and ridiculous claim that America’s actions violate international law.
For 47 years, the Iranian regime has chanted “Death to America.” It has constantly sought the destruction of the State of Israel. It has launched endless bloody massacres and large-scale killings, a series of unprovoked armed attacks against the United States and Israel, violations of the UN Charter, and actions threatening the Middle East as well as international peace and security. It even attempted to assassinate President Trump.
Not only has it carried out these actions directly, it has also used proxies to conceal its crimes while publicly portraying itself as the victim. Iran’s threatening behavior directly endangers the United States, our troops, our overseas bases, our partners, and our allies around the world.
The United States has made every effort to resolve conflicts with Iran through negotiations and peaceful means, but Iran failed to seize this opportunity. The United States firmly rejects the absurd and utterly ridiculous claim that our actions violate international law.
In close coordination with the Government of Israel, and in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, the United States has taken lawful action to address these threats.
Finally, let me say this: do you know who is not complaining tonight? Do you know who is not invoking vague interpretations of international law? Do you know who is celebrating in the streets around the world?
“The Iranian people!”
Perhaps they will finally obtain their freedom.
Frankly, I do not wish to waste more time responding to this matter, especially while this representative sits here, representing a regime that has killed thousands of its own people and imprisoned countless others simply for seeking freedom and trying to escape your tyranny.
The entire world has witnessed this regime massacre innocent civilians. The greatest irony is that such a regime now comes before this Council to lecture us on “human rights and the rule of law.” Its very presence in this chamber is a blatant mockery of the United Nations.
Iran’s representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, appeared ashen-faced and after a long pause said only one sentence: “I have just one piece of advice for the U.S. representative: please remain polite. It would be better for you and for the country you represent.”
〰️〰️〰️〰️
The United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran, code-named “Operation Epic Fury,” targeting Iran’s missile systems, naval facilities, and Revolutionary Guard proxy forces, aiming to eliminate its nuclear threat and its capacity to export terrorism.
President Trump publicly stated before and after the operation that this was “peace through strength,” and called on “the Iranian people to seize the opportunity to overthrow the regime and reclaim their freedom.”
“47” personally ending “47 years of rogue theocratic dictatorship” carries symbolic significance. Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the regime has maintained an anti-American and anti-Western stance, brutally suppressed domestic dissent, and in recent years Iran has seen frequent large-scale protests, with countless innocent civilians either killed or imprisoned.
There have been multiple alleged assassination attempts against Trump (directly or through proxies). Waltz emphasized that “U.S. actions are defensive and lawful,” while Iran disguises itself as a victim and attempts to reverse the narrative on the UN stage.
This sharp confrontation has been described as “merciless and face-to-face condemnation.” Waltz’s response reportedly left the Iranian representative “speechless,” signaling that U.S.–Iran tensions have escalated from “proxy warfare” to “direct military confrontation,” with implications for the Middle East and global stability.
Only rogues are polite to rogues, because they are of the same kind — like Obama.
“Other rogue regimes” are now sleeping underground every day after taking sleeping pills. Rest assured, you are already on the list. And Trump’s defining trait is that he “means what he says.” Just wait and see.
The U.S. Representative to the United Nations forcefully declared:
A new international rules-based order — combating dictatorship and authoritarianism, and defending democratic governments!

Mike Waltz
