You have heard the term "baby blue," right?
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Don't make them have to take it away
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Make Ireland Irish today
Great Britain you are tremendous
And nobody knows like me
But really what are you doin'
In the land across the sea?
Tell me how would you like it
If on your way to work
You were stopped by Irish soldiers?
Would you lie down, do nothing?
Would you give in, or go berserk?
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Don't make them have to take it away
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Make Ireland Irish today
Great Britain and all the people
Say that all people must be free
Meanwhile back in Ireland
There's a man who looks like me
And he dreams of God and country
And he's feeling really bad
And he's sitting in a prison
Should he lie down, do nothing?
Should he give in or go mad?
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Don't make them have to take it away
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Make Ireland Irish today
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Don't make them have to take it away
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Make Ireland Irish today
The song was written by Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney in response to the Bloody Sunday massacre on 30 January 1972, when British soldiers shot 13 civil rights protesters in Derry, Northern Ireland. Released in February 1972 as the debut single by Wings, it was banned by the BBC and other UK broadcasters due to its political content. Despite the ban, it reached number 16 on the UK Singles Chart and number one in the Republic of Ireland.
why doesn't Ulster belong to the Irish, instead of being the British satrapy of Northern Ireland?

If one were to take a vote with the folks in Northern Ireland, whose families have been living in Northern Ireland for centuries, would they choose to join the rest of Ireland or stay with the UK?
A truly democratic vote would result in the north joining the Republic.

Sure about that?
Yes, Catholics (the native Irish) now outnumber Protestants by at least 5%.
The UK government is considering a proposal that would require scanning all of the general public’s photos before they are sent through private messaging platforms.
Technology Secretary Liz Kendall discussed the idea during an appearance on “BBC Breakfast,” suggesting the government may explore ways to “block photographs being sent that are potentially nude photographs by anybody or block children from sending those.”
The comments have drawn attention because implementing such a system would likely require scanning users’ images before they are transmitted, including in private messaging environments.

The reason that Iran got the mullahs was the the US and Britain removed their legitimately elected leader Mossadegh and installed the Shah, who was truly vicious in suppressing dissent via his SAVAK secret police.
Now we're going to repeat the whole clusterfuck and put the next Shah in to do the same thing?

Iran has confirmed that Trump murdered Ayatollah Khameini—the one man who for 35 years refused to allow Iran to build a nuclear weapon. Go figure, right? Confirmation that this war is absolutely not about Iranian nukes.
A fatwa by Ali Khamenei, the former supreme leader of Iran, against the acquisition, development and use of nuclear weapons[1] dates back to the mid-1990s.[2] The first public announcement is reported to have occurred in October 2003, followed by an official statement at a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria, in August 2005.

- almost no homeless, saw just one so far
- lots of trash though
- prices seem reasonable, a bit lower than SF, but that's because the pound is so low against the dollar
- the majority of people on the street are clearly not English; they are from everywhere else on earth
I did not know there was a Saint Chad:
