A Better Ukraine Solution Than Macron’s

I hear the Russians love port cities.

France’s Emmanuel Macron suggests that a future peace in Eastern Europe must not humiliate Russia and could include territorial concessions to Moscow (“Why Europe Hedges Its Support for Ukraine” by Ralph Gert Schöllhammer, op-ed, May 23). While I’m less concerned than Mr. Macron about Russian embarrassment, he may be on to something with giving up territory. If the French gave up a significant piece of coastal western France, that might do the trick.
