This means names, text of bill or law, people proposing it, and direct sources.

As I have repeatedly said, persons making profound statements about politics in other countries AND demanding proofs should learn languages of those countries. In this case, Russian so they can read the original bill. Google translate sucks big time.

There's no reason to trust anything that is being claimed by the Russian government. Public statements about intentions to pass bills are often to cause a reaction from the public - i.e. posturing. Maybe whoever is pushing the bill (supposedly) is just posturing because they oppose the war, because they have a bunch of investments in Ukraine they're losing.

I'm not exactly cynical, but I'm fucking completely aware of how this world works. I'm naive, I'm not gullible, and I'm PROPERLY suspicious.

Russia isn't in any danger of running out of military men. They have conscription still. They have nuclear weaponry. There's no such thing as a supreme leader, people can only operate with the co-operation of the people below them, and there's always people above them.
