Isn't this exactly what the Dems did?

“What the Republicans are doing across the country is really a legislative continuation of what they did on Jan. 6, which is to undermine our democracy, to undermine the integrity of our elections, to undermine the voting power, which is the essence of a democracy,” Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. It's called deflect and project.

Check out Saul Alinsky's 13 rules for radicals to understand this game plan.

The Rules
"Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have."
"Never go outside the expertise of your people."
"Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy."
"Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules."
"Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. There is no defense. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."
"A good tactic is one your people enjoy."
"A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag."
"Keep the pressure on."
"The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. "
"The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."
"If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative."
"The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."
"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. "

Conservatives would be SO much better off if they'd just understand and even embrace Saul Alinsky instead of only ever reacting, and then negatively, whenever the name comes up. You'd understand leftists so much better, engage them more efficiently, and deflect and twist back the Alinsky techniques they use toward you like Aikido. You could also proactively use the same techniques in many contexts to great effect, with a side effect of enacting the "NPC gets reverse-UNO'd then angry" meme in real life.

Around the time the whole Tea Party thing was happening, a couple of conservative authors reworked "Rules for Radicals" into books for conservative readers.

If Dems continue to use Alinsky tactics in 2024 and in future elections, the country/people will suffer and the parties and their workers will prosper.

It would seem that way, but historically the Republican party has hijacked every carve out legislation and political vehicle the Democrats create to give them a leg up.

My HOPE is, the Democrats succeed in mass mailing ballots, early voting, registering on the day of election, drop boxes, sole partisan poling stations, and counting rooms, and then dare to make it a Federal crime to question the Election results.

Pop Quiz assholes! How man Republican districts are there in comparison to Democrat districts?
And now remember folks, population size doesn't matter, and it would be illegal to question the validity of dead voters, and ghost registrants(People registered to vote from addresses that don't exist).

The thing is, now that Patriots have had a good luck under AOC's commie skirt and see how the game is rigged/played.

The Democrats would never stand a chance of winning an election if they rig it, the way they want it. If they create this set of parameters for all elections going forward.

They would have to make it illegal for Republicans to vote, to pull of what they are trying to do.

If every Republican district doubled their count, the election night results would double what the Democrats can produce.

Understand that most of these districts over 70% of them are in Red states.

According to the federal US Election Assistance Commission, there were 174,252 precincts and 113,754 polling places in the 2004 US presidential election, with an average of approximately 800 voters per precinct.

Florida State Legislature is fucking up. Most plans add only 1 or none new R seats. As of last week when I checked, even the harshest plan only converted one more CD to R and another to competitive.

Meanwhile Cali and IL are dealing with their pop drop by eliminating more R districts.

I have seen recent Florida maps, that show South Florida turning pale to light blue. From the dark of the darkest blue it had been.
As for removing or combining districts that were once R or D, you'll need the first election to see if they go R or D.
That battle will be decided by how fairly the elections in those districts are conducted. If the Republican voters don't get off their and join the Democrats at the counting places as a qualified constitutionally bound committeeman. Then the Democrats will Take them for sure.

Much like all of the hullabaloo over retiring Democrats. That will most likely be a Democrat primary story, rather than a story how it plays out in the midterm election.

I've posted this before. This is what we do in IL. I know the entire district well enough to understand what is going on. Most people don't know or don't care. You bring it to their attention they're like, "yeah, that's bad" and then take Timmy to baseball and don't care anymore. If that map isn't the textbook definition of gerrymandering then maybe there needs to be a new term? House Reps last name is Garcia. So even without knowing Chicago, you know what's up.

Districts should be boxes based on population. The only places it should jump around are state borders if not a box like UT or CO. I don't want representatives that get elected because it's easy and easy to stay elected. What incentive do they have to represent everyone?

When people don't care whether they are represented or not, why should they represent the people?

The virus will hang around until the election of 2024.

I'm 0% familiar with Chicago. Does the purple district surround the high rise district or other economic/commerce center? If yes, this looks like the standard distribution of ghetto-ass neighborhoods surrounding the "nice" part of cities everywhere. Could be Los Angeles, could be Rio. Is that district out of proportion to other local districts in terms of population, or did they divvy the districts up relatively evenly by that metric?

Los Angeles DOES have a cronut shaped ghetto coating around its high-rise filling, notoriously East and South-Central LA. These neighborhoods are balkanized and ethnically diverse, but share a low-to-middle class commonality that could be well represented as a single district. LA is dense enough that the "ring" can be broken into individual districts of reasonable and similar population and size without making a ring around another district.

Shows your 0% understanding of Alinsky and his life works. One of his guiding principles is that he can't go in and do-for other people, his role was to help communities overcome learned helplessness and take charge of their own destinies from the individual to the community level.

The entire Rush Limbaugh program ran on this staggering level of disconnect from the topics to run with just-so narratives.
