DeSantis Introduces ‘Stop W.O.K.E. Act’ To Combat ‘Corporate Sanctioned Racism’
December 15, 2021 By Jordan Boyd

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the introduction of the Stop Wrongs Against Our Kids and Employees Act on Wednesday in an effort to combat what he says is an overwhelming movement of “corporate sanctioned racism” in his state.

“Our legislation will defund any money for K-12 or higher ed going to [critical race theory] consultants,” DeSantis said in a Tuesday press conference where he was joined by the Manhattan Institute’s Christopher Rufo. “We’re also not going to allow the staff or employees or teachers in our education system to be subjected to that type of training where they’re forced to sit there and listen. … This is wrong when it’s done to our kids, but it’s also wrong to force employees to have to go through that.”

The “Stop W.O.K.E.” legislation will focus on keeping “virtue signaling” race consultants, who DeSantis said only complain about capitalism when other people are using it but not “when you’re lining your own pockets,” out of schools and out of the workplace.

“This is something that’s significant, and they tried to act like it’s not happening. And you’ll have media who will say that this doesn’t happen even though we have all these examples. … So it is happening, and I think we have an ability to just draw a line in the sand and say that’s not the type of society that we want here in the state of Florida. We want people treated equally. We don’t want ideology,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis is right, CRT is a hateful ideology that teaches hatred of America and promotes hatred between races, casting whites as oppressors and minorities as oppressed.

This law would give parents the right to sue schools that promote this ideology.

THIS is putting the power back in the hands of the parents. If a parent suspects that CRT is being promoted to their child they have the chance to prove it in court.

And, as Ronny D points out, lawsuits and discovery are more terrifying to these school districts than a fine from the state.

"America is supposed to be so racist? How come so many people from non-white ports of origin are risking everything to get here?

America is supposed to have no opportunity, according to the Ta-Nehisi Coateses of the world. The American Dream is a fraud. Then how come so many people are seeing their lives made so much better, and the lives of their children made so much better, by being able to participate in this society?

And again, the arrow points backwards, how come black people are not seizing these opportunities?

But White Supremacy? That's a childish, foolosh, intelectually infantile, but politically convenient, response to the question. Why are balck people not availing ourselves of the same opportunities that people from every quarter of this world, who are not Europeans, seem to be able to make the best of?"

DeSantis Crushes Dishonest Reporter, Gets Ovation: ‘You Peddle False Narratives’

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis received a standing ovation during a press conference after he shredded a dishonest reporter for peddling “false narratives.”

DeSantis shut down the reporter from a Florida news outlet and called him out for abusing public trust in the media.

The government was quick to debunk the narrative the reporter was trying to push.

At a press conference at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, WFLA reporter Evan Donovan asked DeSantis about the Parental Rights in Education legislation.

Critics have labeled the legislation the “Don’t Say Gay” bill in a desperate attempt to smear DeSantis.

The most remarkable thing about the exchange is that the reporter shared it on his social media, despite being humiliated.

“Does it say that that in the bill?” DeSantis started.

“I know that you support —” Donovan said.

“Does it say that in the bill?” DeSantis said.

“I’m asking —” Donovan said before DeSantis cut him off.

“I’m asking you to tell me what’s in the bill because you are pushing false narratives,” DeSantis said.

“It doesn’t matter what critics say.”

“It bans classroom instruction on sexual identity and gender orientation,” Donovan said.

“For who?” DeSantis asked.

“For grades pre-k through three.

“So five-year-olds, six-year-olds, seven-year-olds — and the idea that you wouldn’t be honest about that and tell people what it actually says, it’s why people don’t trust people like you because you peddle false narratives.”

The crowd erupted as DeSantis continued:

“So we disabuse you of those narratives.

“And we’re going to make sure that parents are able to send their kid to kindergarten without having some of this stuff injected into their school curriculum.”
