Even if I took that statistic at face value (I don't) that still leaves the other 50% of gay people to reckon with. Attraction to sexually mature (but perhaps socially and legally underage) young people isn't unique to homosexuals. It's baked into our DNA as MAMMALS. I believe that imposing arbitrary religious and moral standards and myths only serves to COMPLICATE prevention and harm reduction of underage people "willfully" having sex, both gay and straight, but more so for gay people because of an entire additional realm of stigma.
