Not national news most the time. I do get the Chicago affiliates at my house over the air and it's a blood bath. They do report it, daily sadly. Carjackings and highway shootings (not ghetto neighborhoods) are through the roof. Major interstates being shut down for hours, all lanes and the cops absolutely know they'll never find the shooter. Even if they have the plates because most times it was a stolen vehicle. It's one of the reasons I liked Trump. I love Chicago, but he was one of the few to publicly criticize it for its major flaws. Sad part is it is only getting worse.

To the OP now. You have be off a little to ride around in a van around the country out of the gates. There's a reason truck drivers are a little off. Living on the road is miserable. I've done a road trip out to CA from IL and back over three weeks 2 days after HS graduation with 4 other buddies. It was god awful.

Did we have our fun, for sure. We drove enough though where we needed two oil changes. Mind you we had 5 drivers, so windshield time wasn't the issue. Just sitting in the car for almost 1 week out of three was bad. Literally the reason I started researching airline points and other rewards extensively. 5 hours is my max in a car. Otherwise I'm flying. I cannot stand road construction, other drivers, likelihood of an accident, flat tire, constant stopping cause kids have to piss, ect.

Domestic violence in relationships where the woman is the physical instigator doesn’t get enough coverage. I’ve had a number of male friends over the years that were victims of violence to crazy girlfriends/wives and couldn’t say shit. And the crazy part, a fraction of those have been to jail for practicing self defense (and I’m not even talking anywhere close to actually hitting back)

I think unless you’ve seen this sort of thing or have had close family/friends affected, it’s very hard to imagine how a woman could be the aggressor and the man the victim.

This is true. Not all men are the Rock and chicks are intimidated by the stature. The average height and weight of men versus women is not substantially different in my opinion.

Back in August I had to pin my SIL against a wall over an altercation with my other SIL's. She was a tough little shit. Some things got broken and I eventually calmed the situation down. I'm 6'3" and she's 5'6". I had a hundred on her, though she's gotten bigger but still attractive, but crazy as fuck.

Women that aren't mentally stable and she wasn't, can be crazy as shit and have a physically strong burst of energy. I out lasted her, but was close to throwing punches if she didn't tire out. I don't think many people understand how insane MMA is. I'm not into it, but physical altercation is obviously technique, but it's mostly endurance. I used less energy and just suppressed her for a minute or two and she gave up. She was trying to hit me. And of course the kids were there. Family is just great.

Lol. Fact. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe hitting their actual targets would be better instead of a kid. A little range work might help. Or maybe they're shooting future bangers that would end up shooting others so the net result is a positive?

I know bums shit on the street in CA, but the crime in Chicago is getting bad. I could get free box seats to a Cubs, Sox, Bulls or Bears game for free and I'm out. Not going. $2-3k a game. I'm airport only for the indefinite future entering Chicago. Lived there for 4-5 years and worked there for 12-13 years. Urban areas are toxic. Fun as a young gun, but they're awful.
