If the Oz government continues with its authoritarian ways, watch a federal order come out for the arrest of any trucker on strike.

Yeah but like in fight club they depend on the common people, they would degrade to a 3rd world shithole quickly. And it's not an easy location to serve with supplies, so the effects would become devastating quickly.

If I'm an Australian trucker and they try to arrest me, claim to have the China flu?
Or if they arrest everybody how is that going to get the good moving.

Clearly what we see is shelves bare due to panic buying, and that people don't like certain fruits and vegetables.

It's so easy to make it look like your truck is not starting due to some mechanical or electrical issue they won't be able to prove the trucker is really on strike.

Next step?

The will probably get the military to man the trucks, but then they will have less manpower to suppress human rights.

So it's still a win for the Australian people against their fascist government.

Oh yah that will teach them! Teach them to fight harder! Good on ya truckers! Don’t give those lock down ninnies any grub! Let em starve until they give up on being commies!

If the trucks are running or they can make them run. With some parts yanked out it might not be easy.
12   Patrick   2021 Sep 8, 2:03pm

True, it's quite easy to disable a truck, and relatively hard to fix it.

Looks like it's time to deploy the United Nations CCP army. Crush these misguided, freedom besotted yokels.

The end of the Roman Empire was in large part due to their reliance on foreign mercenaries, who quickly figured out that they themselves could take complete control.

Always been a bit of a historical conundrum: decadent, depraved pencil neck psychopaths easily overcome and dominated by their Centurion brute force psychopaths.

Some of the Roman army leaders were definitely psychopaths.

Valentinian was an army officer who became emperor but hated the elite:

Modern historian A.H.M. Jones writes that although Valentinian I was "less of a boor" than his chief rival for election to the imperial throne, "he was of a violent and brutal temper, and not only uncultivated himself, but hostile to cultivated persons". According to Ammianus, "he hated the well-dressed and educated and wealthy and well-born". He was, however, an able soldier and a conscientious administrator, and took an interest in the welfare of the humbler classes, from which his father had risen. Unfortunately his good intentions were often frustrated by a bad choice of ministers, and "an obstinate belief in their merits despite all evidence to the contrary."[49] He was a founder of schools, and provided medical attendance for the poor of Rome, by appointing a physician for each of the fourteen districts of the city.[50] He also reissued an edict of Constantine I making infanticide a capital offence.[51]

Notwithstanding the benevolence of these more generous edicts, Valentinian was remarkable for cruelty and barbarism in his private affairs. He often had servants and attendants executed on trifling charges, and was reportedly accustomed to keep two bears, known as Micca Aurea (golden camel), and Innocence, in an iron cage which was transported wherever he went, whom he employed to execute the sentence, which he often delivered, of capital punishment. At length Innocence, when she was considered to have faithfully discharged her office, was released with the emperor's good wishes into her native wilds.[52]

Sounds like the guy who won the last presidential election.

You mean dipshits that were buying toilet paper?

Dumbfucks that couldn't realize that if they didn't have anything to eat, that they didn't need to wipe their ass, and had no concept of how a shower worked.

The absolutely last thing I'd worry about in a crisis, would be how I'd be wiping my asshole. Water first, food second, then soap. Water that is undrinkable is easy to get. I wouldn't be worried about bathing or cleaning.

The toilet paper shortage just made me wonder "are people really this fucking stupid, or is our government trying to make the common person look this fucking stupid?" I really cannot determine if people were panic buying toilet paper. Did anybody HERE do it? Yeah, toilet paper is convenient, but if I have running water, I have soap, a washcloth, and a shower is always nice. I don't even need hot water. 50 degree F water won't kill you. The ocean in Santa Cruz is colder.

I also stopped using toilet paper at home because the shower works better.

What is a shower, but a less awkward bidet?

I installed bidet fixtures and they are vastly superior method. Toilet rolls last forever unless my wife gets a hold of them.
