No, fentanyl is far cheaper to make and a far smaller dose kills people, making it much easier to smuggle in.

You can kill a bunch of people with the amount dissolved and hidden in a postage stamp on a letter.

The last time the Taliban controlled Afghanistan, the Taliban shut down the opium production as "unIslamic." The Taliban will likely shut it down again.

I don't think they ever effectively shut the poppy fields down, like they never shut down marijuana farms here. Plus, when they first went into AFG, they had pictures of Bush Sr. and Clinton wandering around poppy fields like cocks on the walk, so obviously they were still there and the Taliban didn't get rid of them all. I remember the virtue signaling that we were not only liberators and reconstructionists, we were going to end the opium trade. In reality, the Intels and the Globalists intended to grow and expand the opium trade for their own private profits, and that's just what they did.

Drugs corrupt everything, and I doubt the Taliban are an exception.
