Teaching people how to be homeless on the down low. Not so stealth after they start spewing garbage and needles all over the place. County seems to have bad luck rooting out a homeless camp on a stream around our Santa Cruz place. A Mexican guy, who looks like he is dealing drugs, just insists that the place is going to be his home base and he is the mayor. I see kids on bikes stop there and yell at him down there, presumably to score. The County has been rooting it out and cleaning it up periodically, but that guy just keeps coming back there. They got as high as six residents down there, and because of the drugs, clusters of wasted homeless hung around there, too. All kinds of stolen shit chop shops, too, with all the chop shop tailings.

It may be nice to get away with it, but these places eventually attract multiple 'campers' and they ALWAYS start a fire where they cluster, not to mention the health hazard and the reckless piles of shit and garbage they leave around.

The guy in the vid seems to be more conscientious than 99 percent of such campers, but who knows.

I pitched a tiny tent when I woke up this morning

I've watched a few of this guys videos. I don't get it at all. Is it the interloping he's drawn to? Why would anyone want to do stealth camping, when there are so many places that are out of the way woods, they can camp at?
He's not a Hobo he's not homeless, I could admire his effort if he were. But his wife drops him off in a Acura cross over, or he pulls up in an older cross over and parks. He just bought a fixer upper on a couple of acres, and he wasn't homeless before that.
I just don't get it at all, the guy could get killed doing what he's doing. The places he stealth camps at, seems like the kind of places some deranged psycho on Flacca or Meth would be hanging out. I've seen the woods behind a Home Depot or a Highway sign, it looks like the last place i would want to camp. They are usually deep in a hollow(tiny valley) with stagnant air, and high humidity, and millions of mosquitos. If I were homeless I think I would rather sleep on a bus bench in the open air, which is what most homeless people.
His whole premise is an exercise in absurdity.

That hasn't stopped me from watching about 5 of his videos though. Well that's because you watch one, Youtube throws more in your suggested viewing. It's not like I ever sought him out. Other than when I was looking for a review on a tent I was going to buy. His "Steath Camping" video came up.
