I was in Maui a couple of years ago and my pal drug some teacher back to my condo. The bitch started talking about how she tells her grade school kids the world is going to end in less than 12 years due to climate change - and it's too late to fix it.

I told her she's a bitch for fucking with little kids like that - something to that effect, and that it's not true.

She told me, "Oh, so you deny science?!"

I told her hardly, I'm a scientist. She didn't have anything to say after that.

She reminds me of the Spanish teacher I had in public high school. She would never teach Spanish, but would talk for an hour about the emotional problems of her cat EVERY DAY and would usually break down crying at some point. She had the same crazy rolling eyes, insane solipsism and hyperventilating affect.

Coming from a strict parochial school where the teachers really taught, public school was quite a trip because even though it was supposed to be one of the best public high schools in the country, a lot of the teachers were just dialing it in. It was a different universe from parochial school.
