How many pounds of Antiganda are required to neutralize a single pound of Propaganda? Is there an Antiganda/Propaganda equivalency chart?

It's a time dependent equation. The longer one has been listening to propaganda the longer it takes to deprogram them. The relationship is exponential rather than linear.

I love what he points out about critical thinking. To be a critical thinker is to not be fooled by propaganda.

COVID is an excellent illustration. So many deaths. Yet my life insurance premiums have not increased. Neither have yours. Neither whole nor term.

It took one instance of a recent cyber attack (Colonial pipeline) and I read on zerohedge today that insurance premiums for cyber attacks are increasing 25 - 40% across the nation right now.

Actuarial tables must be racist.

I heard a very short and accurate summary of critical thinking:

Looking for mistakes in what you are taught.

Or, even better, lol: Looking for mistaks in what you are taught.

I heard of a professor who would deliberately make one mistake on each slide during his lectures, to keep the students awake and interested. I like that idea.

The fundamental problem with critical thought is that schools mostly try their hardest to stamp it out. "Education" is the process of accepting what you are taught uncritically. Students who question the teacher quickly get into trouble for it. Schools punish critical thought, for the most part.

The result is that the "most educated" people, and especially those from Ivy League schools, are the least able to think critically. They got where they are by accepting propaganda wholesale and without complaint.
