The alternative to calling the cops is to dispense vigilante justice to whomever has wronged you or yours. This is how we get gang warfare, drive by shootings, and horribly violent neighborhoods plagued by feuding residents.
If you dispense with law and order, all you have left is tribalism and that’s a hot smelly mess.

Vice is really stupid.

No cops? Fine, then don't get in my way of owning and using firearms to defend my family.

Cops don't stop crime, they report it. So says the po-lice. And they don't report on morality, they report on the laws of the land. And they don't make neighborhoods safer. I remember taking my car to a transmission shop in TJ and listening to the mechanic tell us how the street he was on started having a lot of problems after a police station was added.

Everyone needs some practice working things out directly with their neighbors. Second best is arbitration. But in the case of self-defense, obviously a gun. So.. You wanna work things out like adults or tattle-tale to the cops? You want to go to court, or arbitration? You want to pray the cop gets their in time to shoot the bad guy, or do it yourself?

Or make it easy, just move out of the fucking city and live with us laid back, normal people out in the country. No cops, and no crime!

They also never seem to solve crimes in my experience.
Per the Supreme Court they have NO "duty to protect" as well, which renders them all but useless if you think about it. In all my decades as an adult I have never called the cops to intercede in my affairs.

This anti-police movement is clearly going to have poor results for black communities. Hell, it already is - we've seen how the crime is spiking in the cities which defunded and castrated their police. If they allow themselves to be further convinced by the media into not calling the cops when they're needed, it will further the rot.

And if this actually continues for years, like mentioned above, I think you'll see vigilantism and gang wars and the like spike.

All the while, the crime spree will either be blamed on whye supremacy, or it will be ignored and swept under the rug, like it is today in the chicagos where this "liberal thinking" reigns supreme.

Also, kinda offtopic, here's a nugget of evidence from the vice article showing how white guilt fuels so much of the bullshit mentality of "its our fault, not theirs" in wokeness.

It's wrong for him to blame his own actions. The correct statement is that Floyd should not have committed a crime, but he chose to do so, and that is what precipitated events. He had no duty to protect Floyd from the repercussions of his own choices.

They are pretty useless, allright:

"After cops take guns, drugs from squatter-occupied home, intruders are out of jail and loading other items from home into U-Haul — as police helplessly watch"

And tons of private security for those that can afford it. South Africa may be the closest model.
