My father is a hard line Christian. He has been trying to get me to start going to church. I told him I would go if he got his pastor to give a sermon on the book of Revelations. Sure enough, within 2 days he called back and gave me the date the sermon would take place. It was this past Saturday April 10th.
The pastor and 2 other attendees (one worked for the church) plus a violinist (Asian) were the only ones wearing The Mask. I, 55 years old, was the youngest adult there. This church (located in Maryland) only closed for 2 weeks. No one has gotten sick and no one has died. I shook several hands after the service. On a side note, the pastor mentioned the 1st and 2nd amendments, Trump and FEAR. Fear will be used against us in the final days.

Yeah man I’m scared too. They are trying to amend constitution to remove rights now. Really fucked up shit.

They are trying to shut down churches, because the covid narrative is falling apart - churches are not super spreader events, never have been, and many have been meeting since the start of this thing.

Tyranny out of control in Canada... not too much longer and we'll get that here:

Officials in Alberta, Canada, shut down a church that broke coronavirus restrictions by erecting chain-link metal fencing around the building.

“This is what happens when you have freedom of religion in a free and democratic society: they jail your pastor for freely opening the doors of the church and serving Christ’s sheep and hurting people. Now they’ve chained the doors of GraceLife Church enclosing in chain link fence,” an Instagram post from Erin Coates, the wife of pastor James Coates, reads.

Police and health officials blocked off the roads surrounding GraceLife Church on Wednesday morning and erected the fencing. It is the first time that Canadian officials forcibly had to close a church during the pandemic.

“Alberta Health Service (AHS) physically closed GraceLife Church (GLC) and has prevented access to the building until GLC can demonstrate the ability to comply with Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health's restrictions," Alberta Health Services said in a statement. "GLC has decided not to follow these mandatory restrictions, nor have they attempted to work with AHS to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission."

The church was first ordered to close on Jan. 19, but James Coates did not comply with the province’s demands.

He was charged in February for violating coronavirus public health orders. He was then jailed for about a month and refused to agree to the bail conditions that stipulated that his services had to follow public health orders.

VIDEO OF MINISTER PUSHING 'GESTAPO' POLICE OUT OF CHURCH DURING HOLY WEEK SERVICE GOES VIRAL: 'LIVING IN A TOTAL TAKEOVER OF THE GOVERNMENT'

Coates was eventually released and resumed holding services on March 28.

Churches are allowed to hold services, but only at 15% capacity. GraceLife held two Easter services that saw a packed parking lot with people not wearing masks.

“I pray for all the pastors and Christians that still think this is about a virus and health order,” Erin Coates said in her Instagram post. “Clearly our Charter and criminal code mean nothing as long as the government can come up with a good enough story to disregard it. God have mercy on our nation. I pray for their souls. They are clearly under Your judgment.”

The incident follows a viral video of another Canadian minister who demanded that police officers leave his church after trying to disrupt Holy Week services.

“Nazis are not welcome here! … Do not come back, you Nazi psychopaths. Unbelievable, sick, evil people. Intimidating people in a church during the Passover! You Gestapo, Nazi, communist fascists! Don’t you dare come back here!” Artur Pawlowski, the pastor, shouted at officers in Canada who entered his church.

Right, the Book of Revelation does not have an "s" on the end, but many people assume it does.

There's no such thing as a Covid super spreader event.

I would have asked for a sermon on the church's role in the face of a deceitful, evil, and oppressive government. And the answer better not be just fucking pray. Not that I'm against prayer, it allows us to seek help for problems beyond our control, but we also have a moral mandate to act when we are in a position to help.

It flabbergasts me how many churches create this false dichotomy where everything they say applies to you, but not to anyone working in government. What happened to the days when preachers led their congregations to fire from the church lawn on advancing redcoats..?

Prayer, a completely risk free action to take, to make somebody feel like they've done something, when in fact, they've done nothing.

Prayer has never fixed a problem, ever, but it gives people a sense of that they've done something, when in fact, they haven't. It keeps good men doing nothing but gives them the sense they have done something. People constantly praying will seldom even talk about the problems that they are praying about. Evil people love it when people pray.

I've personally seen the power of prayer in my life on a number of occasions. Sometimes, no matter how much we do, it's isn't enough, and that's when we need to be humble enough to admit we need God's help. And prayer in addition to doing our part often means we have really done everything possible.

The whole point of the church, more important than preaching on Sunday, is prayer meetings. The Bible tells us to confess our sins and pray for one another. And I've never heard of a single Satan worshiper who isn't threatened by the prayers of believers.

Hmm, pray for my death. I don't mind. I'll be a guinea pig.

That’s not how it works. It’s not a magic wish box. It’s a humble appeal to God. God isn’t interested in killing people. People do enough of that on our own.

The Flood, Sodom & Gomorrah, plus the genocide in Book of Kings show differently.

I've never personally met a Satan worshipper. They are probably most prevalent in heads of Christians (like racists are in heads of libruls mostly).
