The Minneapolis City Council has unanimously approved paying six social media influencers to spread city-approved messaging and updates throughout the upcoming murder trial of former officer Derek Chauvin, who has been charged in George Floyd's death. On Friday, the council approved $1,181,500 for communication with the community during the trial, CBS Minnesota reports.

The city says social media partners will help dispel potential misinformation, and that the influencers will intentionally target Black, Native American, Somali, Hmong and Latinx communities with their messaging. Each influencer will be paid $2,000.

Lol, "dispel misinformation" means "spread propaganda".

Tony Timpa was 32 years old when he died at the hands of the Dallas police in August 2016. He suffered from mental health difficulties and was unarmed. He wasn’t resisting arrest. He had called the cops from a parking lot while intoxicated because he thought he might be a danger to himself. By the time law enforcement arrived, he had already been handcuffed by the security guards of a store nearby. Even so, the police officers made him lie face down on the grass, and one of them pressed a knee into his back. He remained in this position for 13 minutes until he suffocated. During the harrowing recording of his final moments, he can be heard pleading for his life. A grand jury indictment of the officers involved was overturned.

Not many people have seen this video, however, and that may have something to do with the fact that Timpa was white. During the protests and agonizing discussions about police brutality that have followed the death of George Floyd under remarkably similar circumstances, it is too seldom acknowledged that white men are regularly killed by the cops as well, and that occasionally the cops responsible are black (as it happens, one of the Dallas police officers at the scene of Timpa’s death was an African American). There seems to be a widespread assumption that, under similar circumstances, white cops kill black people but not white people, and that this disparity is either the product of naked racism or underlying racist bias that emerges under pressure. Plenty of evidence indicates, however, that racism is less important to understanding police behavior than is commonly supposed.

My old job at the State Department was what people used to joke as the chief propagandist. I’m not against propaganda. Every country does it, and they have to do it to their own population. And I don’t necessarily think it’s that awful. - Richard “Rick” Stengel, longest serving under-secretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs in US history

If Derek Chauvin is found not guilty, then what?

Fucking circus.

The cops attempted to arrest a criminal thug for committing a felony and he died of an overdose while resisting arrest.

Did I miss something?

This video is very disturbing, the guy had called the police to come help him recover from the drugs that he had taken and they sat on him until he died. And the kicker? They were not charged with a crime!

When you want help, don’t call the police, they are liable to kill you. Just ask Tony Timpa and Justine Damond. On second thought, don’t ask them, because they are dead. They are both non-black people who were killed by police, after they called the police to come help. Let that sink in and think twice before you call the popo.

By covertly recruiting popular YouTube influencer Abigail Thorn to counter growing opposition to UK gov’t Covid restrictions, psy-ops pros are bringing home the tactics they honed in the Syrian dirty war.
Leaked documents have revealed a state-sponsored influence operation designed to undermine critics of the British government’s coronavirus policies by astroturfing a prominent founder of the BreadTube clique of “anti-fascist” YouTube influencers.

The project aims to conduct psychological profiling on British citizens dissenting against policies such as mandatory vaccination and lockdowns, then leverage the data to establish a YouTube channel that portrays these critics as dangerous “superspreaders” of “disinformation.”

Derek Chauvin, officer convicted of murdering George Floyd, expected to survive prison stabbing
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/derek-chauvin-officer-convicted-murdering-george-floyd-expected-surviv-rcna126665
In a statement Friday, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said he was "saddened" by the incident.

"I am sad to hear that Derek Chauvin was the target of violence," he said. "He was duly convicted of his crimes and, like any incarcerated individual, he should be able to serve his sentence without fear of retaliation or violence."

Whoever did the headline misspelled Tucson. I wouldn't give the story much credence.

He is dead. Wrongfully convicted because political expediency and then murdered. Relatives should sue the shit out of State.

This becomes similar to Soviet Union.

Edit: may be fake news, saw this on Russian language twitters. But we shall see.

Actually, it looked like this case was going to be revisited and the lies exposed. If Chauvin is dead, the exposure is no longer a threat.

The former Minneapolis police officer who was convicted of murdering George Floyd and was stabbed in prison by a fellow inmate Friday is expected to survive the attack, officials have told media outlets.

Updates about Derek Chauvin, the wounded convicted killer and ex-cop, were provided to various media outlets – including the Associated Press and the news station KSTP – by the Minneapolis police chief, Brian O’Hara, as well as a spokesperson for Minnesota state attorney general Keith Ellison’s office on Saturday.

O’Hara told KSTP that Chauvin was “in stable condition” from what his agency’s “federal law enforcement partners” had reported to him. Meanwhile, Ellison spokesperson Brian Evans said the attorney general’s office had “heard that [Chauvin] is expected to survive”, according to the AP.

HOLY SHIT!

Stabber of Chauvin was an FIB Informant for years before his conviction; has "European" last name. Former mafioso!
